TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

No actually rubes like you believed his lies. He never had any semblance of a plan. Just more ridiculous, laughable hot air from a gasbag.

You probably still believe this crap from Barry:

"If you like your plan you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor."

What you guys seem to fail to understand is that Trump is an anomaly. Trump has forfeited any claim to a normal presidency. That was his appeal to some and will ultimately factor into his downfall. Why would anyone treat him in a presidential way when he refuses to treat the office in a presidential way?

And Obama wasn’t? He overtly alienated anyone who was a white, southern, gun-owning Christian. For this class of millions, he forfeited his chance at a “normal presidency,” yet he was still given one.

No collection of people (demographics, race, industry, etc.) gave Obama the hell that Trump has seen from the media and dumbassocrats. It’s not even close. The left is treading dangerous territory. When it is given in return, and much more harshly, don’t have a bewildered look on your faces.

We put up with 8 years of divisive rhetoric, arrogance, racism and a stifling economy, you can handle 8 years of Trump. If you can’t, move.

I second this. Could not have said it better.

Your very question may explain this whole Trump catastrophe.

Do you respect the position of a 5 star general?

Do you respect the position of a priest/minister?

Do you respect the position of parenthood?

Do you respect the position of spouse?

Do you respect the position of a judge?

Do you respect the position of a LEO?

The positions deserve respect (especially president) when held by a person worthy of the position.

Then you don't respect the position. You respect the person. That was lg's big sermon to Obama haters. He's a hypocrite and exposed himself.

Really, I am white, gun owning southerner. I wasn't offended, by Obama. I found him to be an average president. I think Trump has a chance to be an average president. I hate what he is allowing with respect to the environment, but the economy is okay. However, he will not be remembered as an average president. He will be remembered as the very worst president. He will be remembered for lowering the office of the president.

Please elaborate.

Please elaborate.

1. Ignoring climate change. (There is research that needs to be done.)
2. Drilling for oil and mining for coal on public lands.
3. All but eliminating Great Lakes and Chesapeake Bay restoration initiatives.
4. Reducing research on renewable energy sources while increasing funding to oil and gas exploration.

That was actually what led to my comment. Do try to keep up.

You of all people, the conspiratorial loon of this board, are in no position to tell others what to believe.

1. The research needs to be into how to live with it, not stop it. We're not stopping something that is naturally occurring and has happened numerous times over history.

2. Good, we need to exploit our natural resources.

3. False, I deal with stormwater and industrial runoff in the Chesapeake Bay watershed along with the estuaries along the Carolina coast. Regulations are not weakening 1 bit. With the new MS4 regulations they are getting tougher, even to the point where properties are no longer being grandfathered in.

4. That should be handled at the private industry level.

So, we disagree. Not a surprise.

However, your first position is completely unproven. That is why we need to continue the research.

I would think the simple fact that there have been numerous ice ages throughout millennia would be proof enough that the earth naturally cools and warms.

We don't disagree about the Chesapeake Bay, you are just wrong there.

You are correct about your first contention. However, that does not prove anything with regard to what we are currently experiencing.

As for Chesapeake Bay/Great Lakes Restoration initiatives... last budget I saw cut those budgets by 90%. If it held then I imagine you will see some trickle down effects.

But the money dedicated to the MS4 regs has jumped tremendously. Including state and local fees generated by new stormwater impact fees.

I need to get an updated copy of the Constitution where handing out research grants is a power granted to the federal government. It's missing in my old one.

That depends on who you ask. Trump is 15 months in and he hasn’t and won’t be given a chance by any of his detesters, regardless of what good he does.

Being offended and being alienated are not the same. I didn’t parse words, CWV, and I’m confident in saying most who were opposed to Obama weren’t in fact offended. I wasn’t, I just think he was (and is) a contentious, divisive prick.

As for Trump, I think he’s done a good helluva lot, he just needs to stay off Twitter. I’ve told my wife this since he announced his candidacy, and I still say it.
