TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

Well, you got him now on "suspicion". Really, is that like a crime or something? That should carry a good 50 years in the pen. Do you consider how screw ball you sound at times?

To all of you who responded to my "he is suspected of wrongdoing."

Do you even know to what I was responding?

If not, your replies are pointless.

If the president ultimately did end up in the grand jury, he could then assert his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself — and Mueller might still be left with nothing. Or the president could testify, and even if it did not go well, he would have delayed the investigation and any possible consequences, perhaps even past the midterm elections. Mueller may well decide he’s better off completing his work without spending significant time and resources seeking presidential grand jury testimony that might never come about and might be untruthful and unhelpful if it does.

Trump thinks he is buying time but it is really Mueller buying time. Unless Trump adds any new evidence to the Obstruction case, Mueller is fine with letting him slow play this while getting testimony from other witnesses and relative evidence in the much broader investigation into Collusion, Money laundering, and tax evasion.

At least 100 White House officials served with 'interim' security clearances until November - CNNPolitics

Former US Attorney Preet Bharara trolled the White House in a tweet Wednesday after it was reported that more than a hundred of President Trump’s staffers worked without permanent security clearances as recently as November.

“You know who has permanent security clearances? Every member of special counsel [Robert] Mueller's team,” Bharara tweeted.

Dear Leader doesn't have to follow clearance procedures; hard for him to keep his mouth shut when he gets coked up at 3am wanting burgers.

More obstruction evidence. And we only know of the mountain that has been made public.

Trump asked McGahn to persuade Comey to exonerate him in Russia probe - BI

White House counsel Donald McGahn made the call in April to acting deputy attorney general Dana Boente but failed to convince him that FBI Director James B. Comey should make the statement, according to several people familiar with the episode. The refusal further frustrated a president who had already twice appealed directly to Comey, who told him he should have McGahn call instead.

He has to gather overwhelming evidence to convince the Trump supporters.

lol. dumbest reason to put it off. He is going to let the traitor serve at least half his term just to convince a couple mouth breathers. again, if people actually thought Trump was as bad as they proclaim him to be they would be moving mountains to get him out ASAP. if it comes out that they had proof, that would stand up in court, and sat on it for more than a month or two, they are complicit in my books. If they can nail Trump, there is no one to go higher up the chain (assuming you don't believe in the deep state stuff).

this is all political just to tarnish the GOP as they were tarnished with the FBI on Hilary. It gets more politically driven the longer this goes on. they are going to keep uncovering the same information from different sources for the foreseeable future as long as it benefits the party.

a year and a half and all they have is 2 guys lying.

you would think convincing the dumb idiots would be a simple thing. maybe they aren't as smart as they portray themselves.

Here's an insiders viewpoint:

In my time in the White House, I witnessed multiple instances when those who were meant to be working for the president were subtly yet effectively obstructionists. Soon after arriving, as we were building the Office of Chief Strategist to the President, I decided to detail three FBI employees over to the White House to work on counterterrorism issues. These were individuals who had studied under me at graduate school and who were eminently capable.

Their being detailed from one branch of federal government to work in the White House should have been a simple human resources exercise. It was not. FBI management slow-rolled the detailing process for six months and sidelined the three individuals into dead-end “busy work” as punishment for being requested by name by the Trump administration. As one senior agent later shared with me, “Understand this: The seventh floor of the FBI looks at the Trump White House as the enemy.”

Makes you wonder, how and why?

It is now time for President Trump to reassert control over the process of how clearances are obtained for those who work for him. Political bias can have no place in adjudicating who is granted a security clearance in the United States.

This whole Trump-Russia collusion keeps falling apart more and more each week.

Tom Cotton, the Republican senator for Arkansas, referenced the letter and asked: “Do you know if Christopher Steele worked for Oleg Deripaska (A well-known political influencer, and Putin's BFF homey)?”

Christopher Wray, the FBI director, replied: “That's not something I can answer.” Asked if they could discuss it in a “classified setting”, Mr Wray said: “There might be more we could say there.”

That was actually a really good article.

Yep. The mainstream media is an embarrassment, and doing a disservice to the American people. However, I think the people are smartening up, and know where to get reliable news from real investigative reporters and outlets.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said Wednesday that the House Intelligence Committee has an “abundance” of information that is not yet public, including evidence that President Trump's campaign colluded with Russia and that his administration obstructed justice.

“There is certainly an abundance of non-public information that we’ve gathered in the investigation. And I think some of that non-public evidence is evidence on the issue of collusion and some ... on the issue of obstruction,” Schiff said, according to The Guardian.
