heck..I have just been asking what should be a simple question, and nobody can answer..not even those highly skilled supply chain managers..ie Purchase Managers

Economists are like meteorologists, wrong the majority of the time but still people panic when they predict bad shizz coming.

Nope. Powell absolutely waiting too long and your team had home court advantage at the time so I completely expect you to carry the ā€œtransitory inflationā€ narrative.
The whole ā€œtransitory due to COVIDā€ narrative was laughable. Inflation was high because Powell kept rates low even as Biden was pumping out fiscal stimulus as fast as the money could be printed.

Inflation was also on the brink before COVID. The mass single payouts INCLUDING the PPP loans, were a trigger on a large load of ammo

Seems like the Chairman of the federal Reserve would be smart enough to see that shutting down production across the globe coupled with governments across the globe pumping money into the system to stimulate spending would lead to skyrocketing inflation. But not Powell, it was all ā€œtransitoryā€ and he kept rates ridiculously low but what do I know? I don’t have an economics degree.

As to your last statement, that's cool. It's not what you said is wrong. It's correct. Before that though, we were paying sectors for product our international customers should have been sending us $$$$ for the transaction. That's the science. Our economy works properly when product we make is getting purchased by our international trading partners. Vice versa, stop getting product essential to product we have planned to sell. When we supplement these aversions by printing money, it's potentially a trigger to inflation

grok:
Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler announced her resignation effective August 8, 2025, to return to Georgetown University as a professor. She did not specify a reason for her early departure in her resignation letter, though her term was set to expire in January 2026. Kugler, appointed by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate in 2023, cited the honor of serving during a critical time in achieving the Fed’s dual mandate of controlling inflation and maintaining a strong labor market. Her resignation provides President Trump an early opportunity to nominate a replacement, potentially influencing the Federal Reserve’s policy direction

What level of ridiculousness have we reached when a sitting President sues his own government?

The Orange Menace is such a control freak. It just burns him up that he can't tell the Federal Reserve what to do.

Hey, Donnie, your ADHD has caused you to forget about annexing Canada and invading Greenland... do that whole bit again, bro.

🤣

Trump considering lawsuit against Fed as he bashes Chair Jerome Powell

ā€œAt this moment in time the president is considering a lawsuit against the Fed," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Aug. 12.

It’s amazing to think some on here actually thought Biden had a clue what was going on. That guy was basically brain dead.
Give it some time things will get better. Vance will have 2 terms to balance the budget and cut spending. šŸ˜Ž
Pretty sure no one believes Biden knew what was going on. Don't confuse criticism of Trump with support of Biden.

Vance ain't gonna do sh!t. No republican is going to balance the budget or cut spending especially now their supporters love ghost taxes (tariffs).

More from Donald:

President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to allow a ā€œmajor lawsuitā€ against Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell to proceed, escalating his pressure on the central bank leader to cut interest rates.

Trump said in a Truth Social post that the suit would relate to Powell’s management of pricey renovations at the Fed’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., which the president has previously criticized.

Trump did not say when that suit could be filed or by whom.

ā€œJerome ā€˜Too Late’ Powell must NOW lower the rate,ā€ Trump wrote in the post.

ā€œSteve ā€˜Manouychin’ really gave me a ’beauty’when he pushed this loser,ā€ Trump wrote, referring to his first-term Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin having encouraged him to nominate Powell as Fed chair in 2017.

Again, this grinds my gears.

First, by calling Powell a "loser", Donald once again debases the office of Presidency and proves that he is an immature jerk. There is no need whatsoever for Trump to publicly call anyone a loser, but equally important, he's calling one of the most powerful and influential figures in the realm of economic policy who is probably the second most powerful person in the U.S. government a "loser". Way to instill confidence in "your" government regime, buddy.

Second, as a reminder, Trump hired Powell. Thus, by calling his own hire a "loser", Trump is openly admitting that he lacks the management skills necessary to hire a good candidate for the extremely important Fed Chairman position. As such, if Donald's personnel picks are beyond pale, then we really can't trust *any* of his appointments / hires now, can we?

Donnie, just do us all a favor and resign... quit for the 60%+ of Americans who have more than a High School GED and the basic intelligence to recognize that you are a complete and utter fraud and outright disgrace to our country.

Trump wants yes men surrounding him. His supporters must all be yes men or they become losers. Not boot with lifts licking and you're a loser. Now bowing before his every whim, you're a loser. This dudes the antithesis of being an American, a decent person, and a leader.

Amen, brother.

Note the crickets… not a single MAGA boot licker coming to defend Trump on this thread.

Admission of guilt.

Powell to stay in position until end of his term next year ...

From the article:

Trump administration officials are expanding their list of candidates to replace Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell next year as they search for someone who can garner the trust of both the president and financial markets.

Among the people under consideration: current Fed Vice Chairs Philip Jefferson and Michelle Bowman; Dallas Fed President Lorie Logan; former St. Louis Fed President Jim Bullard, and macro consultant Marc Sumerlin, according to an administration official who was granted anonymity to discuss personnel matters. More private sector names were also likely to be considered, the official said.

Ok. I hope the typing of these 2 well articulated paragraphs were therapeutic for you in some way.
