Because they had to scramble and bring back people that were laid off (once they figured out they were no longer employed). He had no idea who kept the lights on until it was too late. There was service interruption so it didn't really "work out"

Actually it will be super easy, barely an inconvenience.
Many of us are not part of Trump’s cult of personality. We are just staunchly anti-democrat. Trump was the best available vehicle the last three elections with which to defeat the forces of evil.
Trump will never again run for any election. He is the lamest of lame ducks as far as the future goes. We are already weighing the next generation’s leaders. Vance, Rubio, and DeSantis are all looking great so far.
Ad far as Trump versus Musk goes. We have known all along that Trump is an immature, egotistical, petty, and disloyal man. (Still 10x better than any the democrats fielded though). Musk is an efficient and hyper intelligent independent thinker who has a medical condition that makes it hard to regulate his emotions. But he is also a genius who produces results. And he is absolutely correct that the BBB is just another bloated and irresponsible pork menu that defeats everything DOGE stood for in terms of reducing spending. True conservatives have absolutely zero difficulty in choosing sides on this one.

This makes me weep for the future because, sadly, you represented the same basic mindset that can be seen in the typical American voter from both parties.

hmm. Two days ago service was interrupted. Tell me again why they were necessary? Since Elon had to scramble.

Maybe the funniest thing about all of this is the ethical paradox at play. Shall we call it Huff's Wager? Either

Musk is lying about Trump, which makes him a piece of ****,

or

he's telling the truth about Trump, which also makes him a piece of **** because he remained his ally and only told the truth when he had an axe to grind.
