Trump says he is smart; doesn't need national security briefings

Post 9/11 Bush took criticism for maybe not taking certain threats seriously. Fair or unfair, there was criticism.

Can you imagine what will happen if there is a major attack, or even a small one, on his watch if traced directly to ISIS?

He's opening himself up to major criticism just in making these comments.

Someone is fixated on what Trump says, or what the press says he says. He actually said I don't want to repeat the same security briefing everyday unless the information changes. I guess his predecessor was not so picky?:eek:lol:

Don't try to inject truth into LG's little temper tantrum.

I mean the effing guy is on tape saying he can't control himself around beautiful women...just walks up and starts kissing them and everyone just said it's locker room talk.

Billy Bush was fired from NBC and hasn't been heard from since. Trump is golden, nothing sticks to that turkey. I've never seen anything like it in my life. :eek:lol:

Except Slick Willie and the Hildabeast are orders of magnitude more teflon.

Apples to oranges bro. Show me the tapes of either of the clintons talking $hit then we will compare. Besides, even if apples to apples, it still doesn't make it right. Throw them all in the slammer.

Just find a Clinton tape with audio. Any will do.

So no link. Another baseless sensational claim that people read on message boards and believe.
Oh, it's true. You need not be so kneejerk.

http://www.newsmax.com/t/newsmax/article/451438?section=Newsfront&keywords=obama-skips-intelligence-briefings&year=2012&month=09&date=11&id=451438&aliaspath=%2FManage%2FArticles%2FTemplate-Main&oref=www.google.com

Short: Obammer got the report on paper to read.

But guy reporting on it says the security guys say:

..."For the president, the meeting is an opportunity to ask questions of the briefers, probe assumptions and request additional information,” Thiessen writes.

“For those preparing the brief, meeting with the president on a daily basis gives them vital, direct feedback from the commander in chief about what is on his mind, how they can be more responsive to his needs, and what information he may have to feed back into the intelligence process.”

Thiessen adds, “This process cannot be replicated on paper.”...

I don't know yet if the Barry got better. The Donald damn well better.

As I've said before, Trump isn't smart, at least in any conventional definition of the term.

What he is "smart" at is in branding himself to stupid people.

No one holds him accountable for anything he has ever done wrong in his life. I don't see it starting now. The next 4 years will be unprecedented.

Thus far we have held him to as little account as any president-elect or nominee in our history. We have such low standards (and, what's more, don't seem to be bothered by this as a nation) for him that, whenever he rarely does something actually "presidential," networks like CNN have to have panels come on to discuss how Trump is "now acting presidential," as if he's George Washington, stepping out into the great unknown of the first American presidency or something.

It speaks to how debased a culture we've become. We deserve Trump, and that's precisely what we're going to get.

There is going to be another war you can count on that. It is already in the works.

Long before Trump ever put his name in the hat for presidency.

Well, at least Trump will steer us through the storm.

I mean, our other option was Hillary, who I recall a learned scholar once claiming was going to start a nuclear war with China.

Can you imagine what it would have been like having a president that would have had enough sense to know not to alter the status quo concerning Taiwan and the One China policy? It would have been nuclear war, no doubt.

So, if I'm reading the excuses correctly...

Obama, who was the worst president ever, only attended 44% of his security briefings. Therefore, Trump doesn't need to attend his at all. The next four years will truly be a special time.

Yeah thats clearly what everybody is saying. But Trump should do exactly what both Bushes, Clinton and Obama did right? That seemed to work our great.

Did anyone ACTUALLY read what he really said?

He said update me on the situation and only update me if something changes.

That is what he said.

That is what 99% of smart ceo's would say.

Only notify me if something changes.

Wow.

Yes, please don't bore me with details... I run a business, not some insignificant government.
