No, I think it's ridiculous he's being unfairly raked over the coals for what he "told" the russians. There are plenty of legit things to blister him over, however, he's made his bed with the media.
Now he gets no wiggle room. No mulligans.
I don't feel sorry for him, he's not shrewd, he's not calculating - he's a megalomaniacal narcissist who can't believe that people dare question him.
I really believe in his mind, the media, the Dems, Repubs, etc were all just going to come around and agree with his actions and words. DJT is a smart guy when it comes to business but I think politics is a whole other animal. He ran as a Republican and if he thinks the Rep in the House and Senate won't turn on him in a second if they think he's jeopardizing their chance at re-election....he's 100% wrong. Politics in general has nothing to do with helping people or doing the right thing, it's all about being perceived in a popular way and getting re-elected.
There are 2 people who know what was said in that room, Trump and Comey. It's easy to say Comey is just saying this out of revenge for being fired and it's easy to say Trump would definitely do this well because it fits the narrative. Comey has called Trumps bluff....he said he had tapes and if Comey ran his mouth something may happen....Your turn Mr. President, hope you're holding a better hand than Comey thinks you are.
