Home/Neutral/Bowl
-------------------

2016 - 8-1
2015 - 7-2
2014 - 5-3
2013 - 4-3

Overall - 24-9 (.727)

True Road
------------------

Overall - 6-12 (.333)

For 2017, I think the key to the season will be finishing at least 3-1 in the road contests: @ Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, & Mizzou.

For the other 8 games that are @Neyland or Neutral (GT), I can see dropping one of those between GT, UGA, or LSU.

Ky and Mizzu are gimmies. Florida and bama are toss ups. Florida could be good or they could be bad, with Butter Teeth they seem to be getting worse, I'm counting that as a win("you just don't lose to Tn"). bama better be ready, or we will come outta there with the W.

Release the beast, Rock!

Florida is a toss up, but I don't see any way we keep it within two scores @Bama

A Hail Mary away from 0-4 on the road this year. It was a major issue.

Other 3 games were easily winnable as well. No excuse losing to South Carolina and Vanderbilt. And if we protect the ball better against A&M we win that game as well.

Team 119 was pretty good on the road. Close loss to Alabama. Should have beaten Florida. And blowout victories over Kentucky and Missouri.

Don't know what happened to team 120.

we have to get better versus the SEC competition. each off season we keep saying the same things over and over. We keep picking the games we should win and should lose but it turns out we are wrong. Has happened almost every off season for the last 10 years.

our SEC record since close of 2007 is 26-46. We have to change that and not just talk about it. I know, they need to change it so we can talk about it.

Do you think Butch is the long-term solution?

Is it a possibility Butch could be fired mid season if we start off bumpy?

It always seems to happen around South Carolina week.
Well by then the writing is normally on the wall.. It really makes you sigh a little. We all know what a head coaching change means.. Hurry up and wait for several years. Butch needs to fix this stuff and get it going where we need it. Stability does mean a lot , even without the ideal coach a lot of times. In other words unless we bring in someone that makes your eyes kind of pop out it's a process all over again..

It's strange how we had a competitive game at their place in 2015 but had two blowout losses at our place in 2014 and 2016. Maybe we can be a little healthier this year too.

Come on good OC/QB coaching hire!

This conversation will never end until we go from losing 3-4 conference games to 1 or 2 against the likes of Bama, Florida, and the rotational West opponent. Don't blow games to Vandy and South Carolina types and we would be praising Jones right now.

hasn't convinced me yet.. lean more to no than yes.

opportunities the last two years to win the East and we did not do it. Not a good trend

he can turn it the other way but he needs to do so quickly IMO.

not so sure about that. Tennessee tends to do those things in mid November rather than mid season..

Dooley was pretty much known immediately after Mississippi State game but not publicly. Came after the Vandy loss...

Hamilton did Fulmer early November because he knew who he wanted and could not risk Fulmer winning out and getting boosters back behind him. they were skeptical as it was with Hamilton.

15 game fooled a lot of Tennessee fans. We were not near as close to Bama in talent. It was their 8th straight game. they were tired and unmotivated and needed a week off. They just happened to take it against us and still win the game. Had they played with same intensity as they did against LSU 2 weeks later score would have been about the same as those other two years... we are still a long way from them in talent.

They may have overlooked us to start the game, but until we started missing FGs they were on the mat and couldn't get up till we ran out of gas. On their TD winning drive we chased their QB for about 30 yards just for him to make it back to the line of scrimmage and then we were gassed. Sack fumble game over.
