Root for the Vols to win. Root for the players on the court to succeed. Whether you like the coach or not, support the young men that play for our beloved UT. We are in March Madness. Anything can happen during this time of year. So please, for now, just forget about the coach and cheer on our Vols.

Yeah I agree....the only discussion I am going to have today(may not hold true) is whether im going to have nachos and wings during the game tonight.....Lets go Zo, win and advance all the way to the final four.

It's a no-brainer - root for Zo to actually get a brain. I mean really - if he gets fired, do you really think Butt Cheek and Bammer Bangs will hire somebody wuff a crap?

The hires by the AD have been very good post Hamilton . Why do you think the UTAH would not do the same with the mens basketball program?

I think a lot of true fans are trying their best to forget about the coach.

True fans strip and streak on the court while the other team has an easy basket in transition.

Y'all aren't true fans.

Pansies.

If (a big if) we beat Iowa, UMass & Duke, no one will speak of Pearl again til we play Auburn next season!
GO VOLS!!!

I hope we make some noise in the tournament this year because it's probably going to be a while before we get back.

Our posters are pathetic. We fuss and moan about making the tournament for three years, actually MAKE the tournament and there is 100 threads about Martin and Pearl. It's amazing. I wish the cry babies would hit the freakin' road. We're dancing and have as good of a shot as anyone else. We got two winnable games and a potential game with a Duke team that we match up with extremely well. After you make it past that, who knows what can happen. Screw a Bruce Pearl.

I'm giving myself a thread bumb. We won last night! As I said initially, it's March Madness! Anything can happen, just take it game by game. I think Iowa came out with the emotional momentum and played inspired ball after dedicating the game to their coach's son, but we hung tough, kept it close, and eventually we dominated in OT.

Every game doesn't need to be a breakdown of CCM's coaching ability. We have the offseason to debate coaching, but right now, our Vols just need us to keep cheering them on. Looking forward to Friday's game and hope we keep our momentum!

Go Vols!

True fan thread.......yipee

I get tired of hearing "true fan" thrown about as well, but the best definition of a true fan I can think of is one who always pulls for his team to win. You don't have to like the coach to want your team to win. That's the point I was trying to convey. This forum is split enough over the love/hate relationship posters have for CCM. But love him or hate him, "true fans" should be rooting for their team to win, most especially in the tournament. Forget about the coach, support the young men that represent our university proudly. They did a great job staying in it last night, and I was excited and proud to see the heart they put into that win.

I love lamp

Just curious.....what's the meaning and history behind this? See it posted from time to time.

"Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" the news anchors were talking about love. The special needs weatherman named Brick (who throughout the movie tries to fit in with "normal" society) starts talking about love, and saying he loves random things. One of which was "I love lamp". It's funny in context, but honestly it's not that funny as an inside-joke sort of thing.

So it developed to:

A semi biting rejoinder (a mild cut) said back to a person who just made a non sequitar; the logical fallacy of making a comment that has little or nothing to do with the conversation.

Person 1: Where do you want to eat tonight?
Person 2: The number one killer of domestic cats is feline AIDS.
Person 1:...I love lamp.
