True/False, Ryan Williams will be the best back we face...

Is Ryan Williams the best tailback we'll see all season?

North Carolina is also a top 10 defense
(insert they did it against bad competition here)

Nebraska has an outstanding defense

I would lean toward "not so much" on the NC comment but your right about Nebraska, very solid defense. I think that makes two in a row against the Huskers. Very nice wins for the Hokies.

Give me Montario and I'm good.

I am as big a Montario fan as it gets. He is my favorite back in the nation, and I think he is the most complete back in the nation.

That said, Ryan Williams is doing what he is doing as a Freshman.

And Hokie fan, I don't get the whole speed thing. He most surely does not lack top end speed, if anything he would lack top end power.. ??

I will say that I feel a little more comfortable facing them knowing the have Stinespring as their offensive coordinator (definitely not a good thing) and we have MK as our defensive coordinator.

My dad follows the Hokies fairly religiously and he made a comment the other day that if the Hokies had LK calling the offense in Blacksburg with the defense they have, they would be in the National Championship game.

I really hope UT comes out on top of this game so I won't have to listen to him for the next 15 years.

One of the real issues I find in this thread however, is the fact that there are 28 people who voted McCluster as a better back than Ingram.

Ingram is way better, McCluster is a better play maker but not overall back. I would take Montario personally over everyone.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & say that from now til the end of the season Ryan Williams is the best runningback UT will face.

Great, now we have to deal with Hokie trolls for a month.

RW is the real deal. We've had some good but not great backs since Kevin Jones left. But with a good day against the Vols D, RW could break Jones single-season rushing record at VT. He put up 13 att. for 71 yds and 2 td's against Alabama in his first college game. I have a feeling him and Eric Berry will meet up a few times.

You'd better hope not for RW's sake.

Good luck trying to run on this D without it.

I would say the lack of an inside LB (since Reveiz went out) has hurt us as much as anything. Our young one (Lathers) just can't hold his own right now. I look for that to be a potential (serious) problem in this bowl game.
