Man I love this story

During the general election, the 58-year-old driver for the furniture chain Raymour & Flanigan relied mostly on shoe leather, going door-to-door throughout the district introducing himself to voters. In total, the self-described “constitutional conservative” who has written that “abortion is wrong” estimated that he raised less than $10,000 for the race. His campaign expenses added up to just $153.31, according to Election Law Enforcement Commission paperwork reviewed by the AP.

Trucker who spent $153 on his campaign BEATS longtime NJ Senate president: Another humiliating defeat for Dems by Raymour and Flanagan driver who was denied a gun permit and 'doesn't know' what he'll do in office

A Republican truck driver who spent just $153 on his campaign and ran for office after he was denied a gun permit secured a stunning victory against the longest-serving legislative leader in New Jersey history in the state's elections on Thursday.

Underdog GOP candidate Ed Durr delivered a humiliating defeat to Democratic Senate President Steve Sweeney in South New Jersey's 3rd Legislative District by a razor thin margin of 52 percent of the vote to 48.

On Fox News last night Durr said he didn't even have any plans for when he gets to the state capital of Trenton.

'I really don't know,' he said when asked about what he'll do his first day.

'That’s the key factor. I don’t know what I don’t know, but I will learn what I need to know, and I’m going to guarantee one thing - I will be the voice and people will hear me because if there is one thing people will learn about me, I got a big mouth and I don’t shut up when I want to be heard. I’m going to be heard.'

Out of the $153, he spent $66.64 at Dunkin Donuts to buy food and drinks for his 'staff' and $86.67 for flyers and business cards.

Sweeney not ready to concede

HILLSBOROUGH, N.J. — New Jersey state Senate President Steve Sweeney is not conceding in a race The Associated Press called for Edward Durr, a virtually unknown Republican challenger, on Thursday morning.

“The results from Tuesday’s election continue to come in, for instance there were 12,000 ballots recently found in one county,” Sweeney said in an email to POLITICO. “While I am currently trailing in the race, we want to make sure every vote is counted. Our voters deserve that, and we will wait for the final results.”

In 2021, we should simply have an ap that takes a picture of your face and you then put the last four of your social, your date of birth, address and then vote via ap and hit submit. Confirmation is then sent to you vis text and secure email.

Anything else in today’s age is archaic.

No

I like the voter fraud conspiracy theories.

If they steal another election...in broad daylight...and those affected do absolutely nothing to stop it, is our Republic not lost?

There should be protests in the streets, and blood on the ground if necessary. Freedom is never free. It was bought with the blood of our recent ancestors. Foolish of us to think more blood would not be necessary at home to keep it.

Both my kids are nearly grown. I have little to lose. I will be ready to answer the call if needed. Elections without integrity are tyranny thinly veiled.

Devil's advocate: Suppose you work in a union shop and a union leader or coworker asks to see your phone to see who you voted for? Or a spouse asks the other who they voted for?

I'd tell them to Fu$k off, but otherwise there is no reason why they can't enable voting by phone by using an app and the existing facial recognition software already on the phone. I log into stuff everyday on my phone with my face.

I think the govt has enough biometric info. I don't use face recognition on my phones.
