Troy (Homecoming) Roll Call

I will not be there for this game as I am leaving my seats empty. I know of at least 1 block of seats(46 total) that will be vacant. It's a small message, but one that should be heard. I do hope the Vols get the win. The extra bowl practice would be a great time for the coaches to teach guys how to tackle.

Your message will be "I claim Im a UT fan but they havent won as much as I want so I'll take my ticket & go home!" Kind of like kids do in the 3rd grade....

As a fan who pays to watch UT football games, I can pick and choose when and if I want to attend. I pay anywhere from 1800-2500 dollars each time I come see a game in Knoxville. I have given money to UT every year ON TOP OF my season tickets and required donation up until 2010. I still attend most games and will always root for the Vols to win no matter who is coaching. I am part of a group who does NOT want Derek Dooley a part of this program next year. We are well within our right to make our statement to Dave Hart anyway we choose. This is how we choose to make it. Hart knows it's going to happen. I think people will be surprised at the empty seats this Saturday. Trust me, I am just one of many sending a message. It's not pouting, it's just not worth it to me to continue paying top dollar to see games when UT supports scrub coaching. :hi:

Always there. It's a perfect time to take little kids; they don't know the difference between Peyton Manning and Jim Bob Cooter.

We get it. Argue in another thread. This one is for the people who want to/plan to go to the game. The word "Rollcall" in the title was a pretty good clue, imo.

Making annual trip with my son. I live for this weekend! Don't care who we are playing and really don't care who's coaching. A chance for he and I to hang out on the campus, tailgate a little, watch the Vol Walk, the Salute to the Hill, the Vols running through the T, and hopefully a Volunteers win. I know one Daddy and his little boy that will be VERY excited to be there Saturday!

I am only going to say this. Tennessee Football is bigger than any coach! My belief is you should support what will make the program better first...because it will always live on....coaches come and go.

I keep getting slammed for not supporting someone that is causing my beloved program embarrassment and putting it further away from being relevant.

I am torn to keep carrying the fight or just go with (not agree) with the Dooley lovers on here....tired of arguing.

My sentiments exactly. I love my school and want what's best for it and based on almost three years of evidence here and several years at a prior stop can reasonably conclude that a change is needed. How best to express that can be debated. I choose to put the program ahead of the coach. If you truly believe that CDD is the person to return us to the top then I don't blame you for supporting him but supporting him solely because he is the current head coach at Tennessee makes zero sense to me and is not in the best interest of the program.
