Troy gained 721 yards of offense, nearly 100 more than its previous high of 634 yards against Kentucky in 1997.

I keep repeating myself, but it seems appropriate in this thread. I said at least twice this week on here we'd need 50 to beat them.

We are absolutely pathetic on D.

Dooley and Sal used timeouts this game though!! Thats huge improvement! We only need a few more years and it will all gel!

1939 TN D gave up 21 total points! For the FREAKIN SEASON. This game today was embarising, If the D plays this way against Vandy and Missouri, Tn will Lose both games. Mabye we can beat KY. Not acceptable! Pay the best coaches we can find to bring this program back from the brink!

Both teams must be in great shape to run up and down the field so many times within 60 minutes. Give the S/C coaches a raise for a job well done.

Sal has lost the D, and Dools will if he hasn't already lost this team. Mizzu gave FL all they wanted today. We play like that against them and we will lose. Then Vandy coming in wants to take a chunk out of us and we could lose that one too. KY looking at this game like it might be there 1st and only SEC win this year.

sad sad sad.

I believe Bray has the offense in check. They have weapons and know they can play with just about anyone in the Country. The Off line is the tremendous. They will give max effort as long as the OC doesn't get conservative. The defensive side of the football is the worst I have ever seen. And I have been watching UT since the days of Holloway.Three games remain and I can say I don't have the confidence they can win them all. Mizzou and Vandy will be formidable. Kentucky is probably the only sure win, maybe.

Dooley should fire Sunseri on the spot and coach himself. Guess it really doesn't matter though, Dooley's done!!

Saw this in the stats and commentary on FOX Sports

ennessee reached the end zone on its first four possessions, led 28-10 early in the second quarter and seemed on its way to a blowout victory until Troy scored 20 straight points late in the first half. Troy's 20 second-quarter points were its most in a quarter since the 2010 New Orleans Bowl.

Michael Palardy made a 21-yard field goal on the final play of the half and a 31-yarder early in the third quarter to put Tennessee ahead 34-30, but Troy regained the lead on Anthony's 3-yard pass to Thomas with 7:31 left in the third quarter.

It was the first time since 2008 that Troy has reached the end zone on four consecutive drives.

Someone pointed out elsewhere that Troy only lost to Miss. St. by a touchdown and mentioned the Arky loss to LA Monroe. They're not a great conference but Sun Belt has been giving teams that should've killed them fits this year. MTSU is even bowl eligible.

Ironically, MTSU getting to attend a bowl may ride on us or others not getting bowl eligible since the Sun Belt only gets 2 automatic bowl slots. The SEC has many and right now there's 3 slots that might not get filled by SEC teams if we and/or 2 other SEC teams don't get bowl eligible.
