Hubbs seems to think so..... disgusting...... Wright and Richardson were both talked to by former vol player and Trooper Taylor. No names yet. But alot of people think it was a former WR on volquest....

I don't know names, but it's been indicated to us that a couple of former players who are close to Trooper may have done something like that. We are still searching on details, but I think there's some credence to that rumor.

he did the same at UT while positioning himself for the OC job. It isn't that surprising

seems silly to me, given that none of them know anything about the current staff.

Loyalty is a person thing more often than not, this doesn't shock me. We cite former coaches as the reason for some of our best players so it doesn't suprise me that would continue when those coaches are elsewhere.

So I am clear are we talking about a receiver from last years team? If so that's a glove slap on the VFL. Somebody send out the enforcers, VFL is like the mafia right? Once in always in unless you sleep with the fishes!

so it would be a violation if UT used an ex-player to recruit but other schools players are fair game? Not sure I get that

I dont get it either, not only that, but the fact that Trooper was in contact with Gabe the night before. All of it stinks

If true it shows how scarred this last group of players really are.

I still believe it stems from 2007-8 and the Clawson hire. Many have said there was a rift in the team after that

No surprise with either. Trooper is on a National Championship team and the other "Vols" it could be are either disgruntled Fulmerites or wreckage from the Lame Train bandwagon.

Someone on VQ said that Jones was really close with Taylor when he was here, and the main reason he came to UT. Still, that doesn't mean bad mouth your school to a recruit. If Jones just spoke highly of Trooper that is one thing, but if he bad mouthed UT that is sad and says a lot about him as a person.
