With the Vols on the verge of a possible undefeated home season, I wondered if anyone knows (1)how many times this has happened before and (2)when was the last time that it happened?

Note: if you don't know or prefer to cheat, you can find the answer here under the "Home Wins" section. :)

I think when I was at UT and we had some good seasons with J Green I think we didn't lose any home games. I certainly remember beating florida. it was either 2000 or 2001.

As far as our road record goes we've been close to winning some conference games. UT has been winning at halftime in five of its six SEC road games. The only game the Vols did not hold the halftime lead was Florida.

While looking through some of the stats about Lofton that was at the bottom of the page of the link, I saw that he was 2nd in the SEC if FT% at 83.3%. Does anyone else think it is ridiculous for an 83% FT shooter to be second in the SEC?

UT trailed at the half against Arkansas, as well.

Not to spoil the challenge for anyone who hasn't guessed, but I think - more than how long it's been since the last time the Vols went unbeaten at home - I was probably more surprised that they've done it 13 times!

Anyway, in thinking way back, I became a little sentimental earlier remembering myself as a kid in grade school, and I so loved listening to Vols B-ball in my bedroom, acting out the game as it went along with my Nerf Hoop (anyone else?). When I first started following Vols basketball, the starting team was Dale Ellis, Michael Brooks, Tyrone Beamon, Dan Federman and Willie Burton, if I recall. Does anyone else remember John Ward's radio introduction of that starting team and how he would always say, "Dale Ellis, the slender senior from Marietta, Georgia..." Sweet memory...
