The stories I have read from Vol fans that attended the game all sounded tame to the past. Maybe the FL fans are acting more normal these days.

It was pretty good for the most part. It was not as bad as all the talk around it. The walk to the game was amusing and some tennessee guy got pushed and his teeth got knocked out but other than that it was good. During the game people were very rude. We were in the Tennessee section and a ton of gator fans kept yelling profanity at us. Probably the worst away game i've been to and i've been to many. It wasnt as bad as people beating people or anything like that.

i had a great experience, the people we sat by were very classy and congratulated us on playing a competitive game. There was some friendly trash talk but all in good fun :)

one Gator got into it with us after the game, but the best thing about it was we made him feel bad for winning, which was a great satisfying feeling :)

I had a great time---UF fans at a few tailgate parties were giving our group beer and burgers. Plus, Friday night at the G'ville clubs was fun. We went to one dive near the university called the Grog House---packed with a lot of hot UF chicks. Fun weekend, except for the final score.

I had a blast! From the time we checked into our hotel until the time we left I met so many good people that were Gator fans. Of course we ran into the occasional drunk college kid acting ridiculous but that is to be expected on a college campus. My perception of The Swamp and Florida fans def changed this past weekend. It was a great trip and I will def be back.

any raining urine or feces? I am glad to hear mostly good reports. I had never paid much attention to it untill I heard how many people really didnt enjoy the atmosphere on here... I paid much more attention to it this weekend and was just curious how everyones trip was.

We went to the bar "Balls" before the game on the strip and it was a pretty good time. They had a picture of Kiff's face painted in the urinal and I got a pretty good laugh out of that.

That is great to hear. Hopefully this trend continues. You guys are really fun to interact with and it's great talking SEC football and hearing different perspectives from another fan base. Maybe next year yall can show me around Knoxville and the campus.

This is my ninth time to a Gator game. It hasn't changed for me. The reason I keep going back is because of how I'm treated. Everyone is very cordial and having alot of fun. I get the frequent heckle, but they all recieve it as much as they dish it out.

I have one complaint: the seats are so freakin close to one another, everyone is right on top of each other. It is certainly loud there.

I can get there after all the tailgators have settled and still have a decent place to park, next to McDonalds and the bank everytime. Walk in and walk out with no problem. I got tickets from a Gator season ticket holder this time. Now he might get mauled when he gets back to the next game for selling his tickets to a Volunteer fan.

For another thread sometime....
I will NEVER return to a road trip to a 'bama game again....obnoxious experience

I have never been to Neyland and really wanna make that trip

Put it on your 'bucket list' before you die! Especially when they know you've travelled all the way up there, UT fans are the greatest in the world. You have to go for the whole gameday experience, not just for the game.

Had a great time at the Bull Gator tailgates over near the O-dome. The group was very magnanimous, sort of like a group of rabbinical priests might have treated a Sacrificial lamb. After the game, there was some good discussion and intelligent game breakdown... And massive amounts of drinks from a conversion van converted into a full bar.

All in all, the experience was great, and the environment was not nearly as intimidating as I remember it in '97. The crowd seemed relatively quiet and tame, save for UT's last drive of the game and every kickoff to Brandon James.

Fun times. Looking forward to hosting some Gator freinds in Knoxville next year!

I was a single orange dot in the middle of the alumni section and I had a great experience. I got heckled once I believe at a Fraternity house. Since i'm a brother from a different school I strolled in to take a look and got free beer and food! People in my section were very knowledgeable about football and very nice. It's weird because I also go to the FLA/UGA game every year and I see that carnage. :drive2:

I can also say that I was worried about going down for the game. But upon futher review,I came back with a different view.Me and the wife were treated with great times everwhere we went.Granted we got tixs for a Dr. in the Gainesville area.We sat in the touchdown terr. section.Little old lady sat next to me told me if I didn't stand and cheer for Tn she would be the one who whipped me all way back home. And if any one got on to me,refer them to her and she would handle it.Must have been the den mother of that section. She knew everyone.:rock2:

This was my first trip down there. My gf and I had a great time. Fans were very nice, sat next to some UF fans at the game that we talked to. After the game had several tell us good game and to have a safe trip home. Yelled at by a few fans but nothing more serious then any other away game I've been to.

Also will say we were in the top row of 326 so I'm sure it was louder closer to the field but def. the loudest place I've ever been to other than Neyland.

So I've been to Florida before, and I have been to a Florida game or two here in Knoxville and have to say, the Gator fan base as a whole is probably the worst in the country. I was wondering if anyone who went down this weekend had any horror stories.
