Trinity Bell to the portal

First and foremost, You “sound” like a snotty little punk. Second, it’s a shame that we have lost the drive to compete in the youth of this latest generation. 3rd, I don’t think you understand the rule completely. Yes, you can transfer and be ELIGIBLE to play immediately…but that does not GUARANTEE anyone “immediate playing time”…still have to put In that work.
All I was saying is that I’m tired of people blaming the “youth” for not staying at the same school for their whole college career, when they have a shot to make millions. If they don’t like the situation they’re in, they have the right to transfer just like any other student. Doesn’t have a damn thing to do with the drive to compete in their generation. Let’s say you had a job offer that paid more and put you in a better position to succeed than your current job... are you staying at your current one because you want to compete??? Same way for college athletes. If they think they can go somewhere else and get more playing time, giving them a better chance to make the NFL, why the hell would they not transfer???

okay, but have you not figured out that people are just posting this same stuff over and over for every player? Somehow, we've got to get our responses under control. Over time, there are hundreds of them to talk about, and we don't know them personally, so we just get to have the same 4 or 5 pages every time? I guess it'll be okay, but I sure don't need anybody to tell me that there is a transfer portal. I've heard about it.

Exactly. Same guys saying the players should wait their turn would take a new job in a heart beat if it meant more money and/or more opportunities. It’s funny they don’t expect these young men to do the same.

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener but 20 somethings aren't really known for wisdom. Somebody posted a telling stat on here in another thread a day or two ago that somewhere around 75% or more of the guys who enter the portal end up with no scholarship. He'll be fortunate to end up at another power 5 program because most of the 25% who do get another scholarship offer don't.

I was in a discussion with someone else. If you don't wanna be apart of it, leave the thread or don't respond. It's a message board.

If true/accurate that is alarming. A lot of players count on scholarships to get through school and with 1.6% getting drafted are actually going to benefit immediately from the degree they earn. I really hope there is someone sharing this detail with them.
