OK, then. 'How's 'bout doing this with him: Whether or not Mister Bell winds up starting on O or D, maybe he could become a designated 3rd down and red zone specialist for BOTH sides of the LOS, as well as with his usual alignments?
I'm starting to really appreciate Coach P's willingness to assign the best possible athletes to a variety of situations, like Crouch @ RB for short yardage, etc. He's also intuitive enough to recognize Coach C's irreplaceable abilities to maximize talent (ex. Nathan Peterman), and that giving him maximum tools for keeping those chains moving and scoring TDs will make his remaining in Knoxville a no-brainer choice. Why risk going elsewhere ... to a program that could say "hands off" with some defensive fellas whom he could really use?
I've gotta be right in guessing a lot of you are likewise noticing Pruitt's recruitment of players who don't only excel at their designated positions, but from looking at this newly forming roster, it's easy to see lots of extraordinary speed & athletic versatility on that list. Add to those collective attributes the winning programs those youngsters helped get that way, to the inherent toughness, and the notably high character all of these budding stars have on their resumes, then it's clear that, as a collective, Coach P is amassing a far greater degree of talent than from simply applying the most ☆☆☆s as scouting criterea ... could EVER do.
What do y'all think, fellow Vol fans?
