Guessing around 100. Surprised considering it started snowing. Kids weren’t going let that stand between them and some free candy

My daughter got a bunch so she put the bucket outside with a note to only take two pieces, 5 minutes latter it was empty.

We closed on our house on October 31st, 2005. I wanted to sleep here that night, so we started moving (the house I was renting was only about 10 minutes away, so I knew we could make several runs and be fine.)

I wasn't thinking about it being Halloween til I saw the first trick-or-treaters. We got to meet several new neighbors that stopped to say Hi as they were going around with their kids, and they welcomed us to the neighborhood.

But there was this one little girl, probably 11 or 12, dressed like a pretty little princess. And she walked through the yard to the sidewalk where I was carrying a big box and said, "Trick or treat". So sweet!! I said, "Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. We're just now moving in and I didn't even thing about getting candy."

Well.....the look on her face. LMAO!!!! She stomped out of the yard and I told my husband, we're getting egged tonight.

I'm in the same boat.......the last trick or treater we had was in 1997 when a friend brought his son by.
