How come we never run any trick plays under Heupel? flea flickers, reverse runs/passes or fake punts and FG’s. I would like to see more in the playbook run occasionally. I can’t remember the last trick gadget play that we ran in the Heupel era.

I just don’t think they’ve been needed up to this point. We’ve scored 40+ in five straight games for the first time in history. Special teams cost us Georgia and nearly cost us Miss State.

How much are we missing Coach Ekler?

I've commented in other threads, that was our biggest loss in the off season...even.bigger than any of the injuries.

I think Coach B is good, but you can tell our guys on ST lack the discipline and fire that was there with Coach Ek.

When you run plays at a clip of 3 per minute and score in drives of about 3 minutes, you don't need or have time for gimmicks and tricks.

Also, as shown this past weekend in Starkville we aren't built for any kind of play that takes time to develop. We lost a lot of 2nd and 3rd downs running plays that are designed extended plays.

I don’t care for trick plays but I would like to see more presnap motion to put our guys in space more. I do think JH has done a good bit of positive tinkering with the offense during the off season.

WR jet sweeps. I would love to see Brazzell with the ball more. However, I don't think the offense needs it. I just like the guy.

I think we need to run more of these plays:

Up the middle, Off tackle, Sweep, Toss, Quarterback sneak.
Post, Out, In/Drag/Dig, Hook/Hitch, Screen Pass. Statue of Liberty, Flea Flicker, Reverse.
