What’s sad is 160k deaths in the U.S. Many of which could have been prevented. Not getting to run through the T again falls under the disappointment category.
I feel perspective is getting lost. I know we want football, but geez. Throwing together 22 heavily aspirating individuals during a pandemic is pretty irresponsible. And it’s not just the health of the players that’s an issue. My kids are 4 and their schools are closed.
I feel like the eyes of the country and even the world are on us about the decision to play collegiate contact sports in the SEC, but I feel like we’re going to act more like Desantis than Fauci.
Sad is an understatement when referring to 160,000 deaths. I don’t believe I overstated to emotions tied to the last time VFLs run thru the T.
With players being tested before they play, the field will be a covid free environment. After a big win, the parties they go to could be a covid rich environment. The players will be safer at practice and at the games than if they are turned loose to manage their own covid free environments.
