Hopefully those same losers took the ones who said he would never play again with them. I hope this comes to fruition. He deserves it.
Man I hope so too, and I genuinely want it for him more than selfishness. I'm sure everyone's does. It really has hit home with me and I just can't say it enough.

Just spoke with a starting player on the offensive side of the ball (not named Trey) who said Trey would play this season.

Also said what we all know in that most of our issues from last season stemmed from having guys that didn’t wanna play.

The Team will always die for a guy like Trey Smith who gives his all for his team mates, his presence on the football field can be huge for this season and beyond

There is a chance for any player to get hurt with an injury. I hope Trey is healthy, cleared to play and has a long career. I am sure if he is able to play the doctors will keep a close eye on him. GBO

About those that didn't want to play.

Pruitt isn't an idiot. He knows who was giving effort. Some, he was stuck with because no depth and he had to play them, and wasn't happy about it.

Remember the reporter interview at half time against Bama last year?

Reporter:
"What do you tell your guys in a game like this."

Pruitt:
"I made them one promise. We have a few guys that are playing the game the right way and doing all the right things, and I promise you I will recruit 25 other guys that will play the right way so we don't have to play in another game like this".

Yes, I remember it. I remember a bunch of fans getting butthurt over it too. I bet they ain't too upset about some of these recruits he's got commited to us so far tho.

Sigh! Even if there's a small chance Trey's health could be negatively affected, that's too big of a chance to take. But, it's ultimately his decision to make. We're pulling for ya big fella.

That's true and I'm concerned for him ,but I guess getting up and going outside every day we are all kinda taking a chance.

I gotta be honest. If this is true, then I am genuinely scared for Trey. I would much rather see him give up football all together.

Absolutely right. Kids think they're indestructible. That it really can't happen to them but it does. Not worth the risk.

I’m sure he has had several opinions. If he’s cleared, his health and status of gone through the ringer.

This run in was 100% happenstance, we were chatting about the o-line, d-line. I asked if he thought Trey would play and he had a pretty confident “He will play”.

Said the o line would see huge improvement. Talked a little about Butch vs. Pruitt and he said it was night and day, no comparison.

I'll be glad when we can get rid of or graduate the last of Botch's players.
