I think he'll come back for 2020 and it's not an unusual thing to have a press conference to announce you're coming back. He should come back and if he's injury free he'll be a 1st round NFL draft pick in the 2021 draft which would beat the hell out of being a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Im with you on this... Trey being the fine young man he is could be saying thanks to Volnation for the support IM gone, or Thanks for the support because I have unfinished business. I don't really do Twitter, Facebook Insta stuff so can anyone offer an opinion if he's the type to post everything going on in life?
My gut tells me he stays but not sure I can remember a JR other than Peyton who held a presser to say that.

Id rather a player like Trey have a press conference as he was the best player on the team. Especially since hes been through so much the last few years. The reason being is that the letters they pin to their Instagram are mostly fabricated, in my opinion. It could be coaches or agents or someone else that is influential that is pressuring them to do so to show class and project a good image. Now he doesn't owe me or any fans anything, but when you have a press conference that allows fans to see the emotion and how much you care plus telling the fans and University thank you through using your mouth is more meaningful to me than a letter on Twitter or Instagram. Just my opinion.

Stay and show you can play another year without medical issues/risk injury = drafted higher more money

Selfishly I want him to stay but he needs to go and get paid. His career ends with another blood clot.

Hopefully he's received enough positive feedback from the NFL to justify entering the draft. It'd be terribly sad if this young man never gets paid for doing what he loves.

If he announces either way without having a press conference, the media is going to bug the hell out of him and the university to get comments. By having the press conference, he can announce, address questions, CJP can address questions, and it is behind him and the team. It's kind of the point of a press conference.

Here is my opinion on this. I think the press conference is to stay. He's not Tua. I'm guessing CJP and him are using this as a platform to bolster in 2020. I'll make a dime bet that he announces he's coming back, and it's a brilliant idea to keep the the positive energy flowing.

Man, it would be great if he would stay and mentor the o'line. We are going to have some young, raw but great talent on O-line next year. Smith could be the one to lead them.

I have already changed my post. I was trying to remember who all we picked up and thought I googled Tennessee college football class of 2020 but somehow ended up with the class of 2010. I saw five stars and lost my mind a bit.
