For starters it is not an injury. That's beside the point. I'm certain the team will rally around the young man. This is not about football though, this is about life. I wish Mr. Smith a speedy recovery and hope he is able to fulfill his dreams, NFL or otherwise. Wish him nothing but the best.

I've thought about Trey's future and how much money he could make living his dream in the NFL, and I've thought about the Vols and how much he means to the team and the vacuum he will leave. Then I thought and realized just how serious this is--blood clots in the lungs people. This is life threatening and his life is infinitely more important than football. Everybody needs to say a prayer for this young man, who will contribute a whole lot more to society than sports. Speedy recovery and a full and fruitful life, Trey.

Trey is from TN and stayed home to play football. Everything I hear about him is positive as a person and teammate
But-
Despite the obvious talent I do not think Trey will get drafted very high. Think about it, if you are an NFL team are you going to spend a 1-2 round draft pick on a guy that could maybe never play a game or you could lose him at any time if this issue comes back?

I hate it for this young man and I pray that he never again has to deal with this issue again. No matter what happens he is a VFL.

Blood Clots are NO JOKE!! Can be life threatening and if one flows into your heart, you can literally fall over Dead!!

Prayers for Trey and his family!!! In the overall scheme, football is a small thing!

Often times when a team leader gets hurt or is out due to any type of injury. Well coached teams tend to become more galvanized. I guarantee you whoever starts at LT tonight is gonna have a chip on their shoulders as well, but I think the whole offensive line plays with an edge tonight that we haven’t seen yet. Somebody not named Jauan Jennings is gonna become a de facto leader tonight due to the smith loss. I look forward to seeing which player that is. Overall though, this team will rally and you can take that to the bank. Side note- JG has something to prove tonight after last years late game comeback came up short.

Rally. I love Trey but he wasn’t a world beater at LT. I’m not expecting a big drop in OL performance
