Trey Smith Cleared to Play

I’m with you on that. This situation kinda coincides with what Inky talks about during team meetings, Trey has more heart and love for the game than most who have no complications. He’s doing what he loves no matter the consequences and I have nothing but mad respect for him.
This shocks the coondog do do out of me. Trey is living proof to me that prayer works !!

Not sure if it's been said... But Pruitt hinted he would be on a snap count and said he wasn't going to release what that count is before the game.

As a Vol fan obviously this is huge for our team but even more so for him and his health. I hope this is the end of that chapter in his life and he can start building some draft stock so he can get paid big money and have a long healthy and successful life playing the game he loves. Go Vols what a great 24 hours it has been!

CJP said they "had a plan" to get Trey ready to play. I'm wondering if part of that plan is having medical professionals on hand in case Trey gets cut? Do they have any way to monitor him between series to check for clotting? I feel without a doubt that CJP will do whatever is in the best interest of Trey.
The worry with blood thinners isn’t getting cut, it’s internal bleeding.

I’m not an expert on the situation but I work in a cath lab, dont really think there is a way to monitor clotting per say but I guess they could run ACT’s ( activated clotting times.) to make sure his blood is properly anti coagulated. Now whether that is practical down on the field or not I don’t know.

Tks for the info.

Excellent news!!!

However, as a Tennessee fan I know there is a cup-check moment coming. We don’t just get good news here. There must be a bad news item to balance it out.
It's been running about 75 bad to 25 good for the past decade.......2thetop!!!!!

We love you Trey and thank the Lord you're cleared to play the game you love again. The good news today just keeps gaining Big Orange Momentum!

we already got the bad new earlier this week when our starting corner got arrested and may be dismissed from the team.

Well that and an elite medical staff monitoring him, medication, exercise, nutritionists, support from family, friends and team mates, and Trey's own hard work and iron will to get back on the field. But hey, I'm sure "prayer" factored in there somewhere amirite?? :p

They’ve more than vetted the situation...so it cannot.
I'm with ya on that dog. No way a mistake will be made here. Likely play him a half and if we get a decent lead do some experimenting with different groups. They'll monitor him to the max after a lot of physical contact. Temperature in the low 90's means a lot of subbing going on anyway.
