Tressel's overall record at OSU was 94-22. 24 of those wins we're against the the teams shown below. I did not count annual games with Indiana, nor any other weak Big Ten team.

I don't think any of the following were ever on any NFL schedules. Not apples to apples, IMO.

Why are even talking about Tressel or Petrino. There is no way that UT is going to hire a coach with a questionable reputation when they are in the midst of NCAA probation. That would be like USC hiring Kiffin right after Pete Carroll left due to NCAA sanctions. It does not make any sense. Does anyone think USC started running a clean program after Carroll left and Kiffen was hired....no. So why would UT hire a coach that would further hurt its reputation or, at the very least, further perpetuate the Kiffin fallout. Let's be real about this. It is more likely that UT hires Strong or someone else before they hire someone stuck under the NCAA's thumb or who was fired by another school due to character issues. Tressel and Petrino have "PROBLEM" written all over them. This also goes for: Butch Davis and Gary Patterson. I think people need to start being sensible about the type of coach Hart will be looking for. Stop focusing on wins and losses, and start looking at a good coach that does not cause problems. If Gruden is not hired then I would not be surprised if we go hard for Charlie Strong or Chris Petersen.

There is no available coach who could turn this program around like Gruden. It is simple its a fact. We need big time play makers and we need them now! Dooley has us in 12th place in SEC recruiting and without any reason for future recruits to want to come here. Thats about where we will finish in SEC play if we cant get recruits. Gruden=Recruits. Simple math

His show cause clause will prevent his hiring when you have already been on the NCAA radar with one coach the last thing you want is to be hiring one who has already been on theire bad side!!!

Tressel and Petrino are the best coaches out there. Somebody will hire them but it will not be UT.

Lookup Spurrier and Saban's NFL records....

Heck, Jerry Moore at Appy State has a few Nat'l titles and great record...throw his name in hat.
