On Friday the Vols took a bus to Atlanta (got stuck in traffic for over an hour and a half), stayed overnight and then took a bus to the game. After the game the players took an airplane back to Knoxvegas.

This seems odd to me, why take a bus down (during rush hour) stay ATL then take a bus the morning of the game to Athens only to fly back that evening?

Maybe I'm reaching, or being critical this just seems like bad time management and decision making. Why take a bus into ATL and have players sitting in a bus for two hours in traffic? Why then turn around and fly back that evening?

OK roast me.

Maybe the bus ride was an attempt at Team Building and morale boosting. When the coaches saw it obviouisly didn't work, they just flew back.

I didn't know they had driven down. Saw their planes lined up at the airport waiting on them after the game though.

Come on, I know its going to be a long bye week, but are you really questioning the travel arrangements??

Soon people are gonna start blaming Dooley for the players' bathrooms in Gibbs not being cleaned enough.

I heard this on the radio before the game and thought the same as the above poster. Time to interact with the coaches and other team members. I agree, though, that it had nothing to do with the outcome of the game.

Ok then, o thread police, what would you call what happened at the Georgia "game"?

i'd call it a bad game. richt got his guys ready. he knew he was on the hot seat and that if he lost to us he'd be in major jeopardy of losing his job. it happens. if i rem correctly fulmer did the same to GA when he hung 50 on them at GA

I think we have two topics going here. The first post was about the team bus ride being for team building/morale.

The previous post was about the players quitting...resulting in a blowout.

I just don't understand the logic, or I fail to see the logic. In the end it's a stupid post on a non topic. There are several times I have questioned CDD's decisions and this is one of them.

Did you read this? It makes sense to me. Oh.... I get it, you are one of THEM. By all means just keep on looking for things to nitpick. :clapping: Second guessing is always fun ain't it?

I for one don't really care if YOU understand their travel itinerary. Gimme a break dude...this is a reach. They said a week before the game the team was staying in Atl.

I also don't understand CDD's shirt choice for the game. I mean, it said Adidas, but it really wasn't the right shade of orange...more like a peach color. Wait a minute! Peach color? Vince Dooley's son? Georgia coach? In the peach state? Too much of a coincidence if you ask me.

Is this really the man we want representing our exalted Vols?
