Anybody plan on getting this?

Its for PC, 360, PS3, and Wii, with alternate versions planned for the DS.

Developed by High Moon Studios (Darkwatch, Bourne Conspiracy) and published by Activision/Blizzard.

Its a 3rd person shooter (constructed with the Unreal engine) that takes place on Cybertron, and details how Megatron and Optimus came into power. Its based on the original Transformers, and not Michael Bay's imitation.

In short, the game will be similar to Gears of War.

There's two story/campaign modes, Autobot and Decepticon, that you can play offline or co-op online.

Online multiplayer has an experience points and kill streak system. In online multiplayer, you create your own Transformers, customizing the look weaponry, abilities, and choose their class. The classes are:

-Leader (buffs up your team)
-Soldier (the combat specialist)
-Scientist (healer and support; has jet mode)
-Scout (fast moving; infiltrates enemy lines, sets traps, etc)

The online multiplayer modes are:

-Escalation mode, where you use your pre-order characters (Shockwave, Jazz, or Demolisher) to fight off waves of enemies til you die (like Horde mode in Gears of War)
-Deathmatch (self explanatory)
-Team Deathmatch (self explanatory; battle between Autobots and Decepticons)
-Conquest (kinda like Battlefield, Battlefront series where you try to hold as many command posts as possible for your team)
-Power Struggle, basically Capture the Flag
-Countdown to Extinction, where you try to plant a bomb in the enemy's base and try to keep them from planting one in yours
-Code of Power, kinda hard to explain, also like Capture the Flag in a way

Like I said, this has nothing to do with Bayformers. Its based on the original Transformers.

Anyway, the multiplayer demo is being released on Xbox Live tommorrow. Only two of the four classes will be available in the demo, as well as Conquest and Deathmatch.

Multiplayer demo huh? Not really the best choice, I mean I know it's alot easier but I guarantee this won't be the type of multiplayer to take away much time from the Halos and CODs of the world.
