Transfer Portal to Tennessee

If this staff is so magnificent at recruiting why isn't Tennessee having super stars transfer to Tennessee to help immediately and play immediately?

All these superstars you speak of most likely have coaches that outline where they can and can’t go. I doubt Nick or Smart will ever say yes go on to Tennessee have some fun fella.

And they’re also rules.

Uh please inform the board of these superstars that are available? There were possibly one superstar EVER in the portal in Hurts and he woudl have been a fool to go anywhere but Oklahoma

So let’s hear it ...

I’m not denying his ability but I won’t jump through hoops for someone now lied to get out of a commitment.

Let’s not make a big thing out of Miami of Ohio.
Taking if personally, like it somehow affected you. Your agenda is clear. They are both playing great, and all you did was spew negativity about them.

This is an interesting point. My brother said the only way we will be able to improve immediately is by getting those players who are second string 5 stars. Looks at Fields, look at Hurts. We need to start looking around at other colleges to make our program more competitive. Yes we still need to continue to recruit high school players and develop, but are we really in a position to recruit high profile players right now? Create the winning edge now

Regardless of coaching, how many kids do you imagine are out there looking at our offense and the season we’re having and think to themselves “this is the place I want to be”?

Uhh, no offense but what 5* talent would willingly transfer to Tennessee right now? Why would they? Because if they are 5* talent, there is a really good chance they can pick their destination. And again, o offense but why would they choose the vols with where they are right now. You might be able to get some 3*’s, and possibly a few 4*’s who like the chance’s of early playing time.
But Kirby won’t deny a kid no matter where he wants to transfer, it isn’t how he rolls. Need proof? Brenton Cox was the 33rd ranked player in the nation in 2018, a 5* stud. He was in the doghouse weeks after arriving in Athens and had attitude issues his entire time here (even getting into it with senior D’andre Baker during a game. A huge talent. He wasn’t happy here and our coaches weren’t happy with him, and stated cutting his playing time. There was a final incident that finally caused him to enter the portal and the gators jumped on him as soon as he hit the portal. If we will let a 5* stud transfer to Florida then kids know that we aren’t going to stand in anyone’s way if they aren’t happy and truly want to leave.

Probably could have used Fields or Hurt.
It is obvious they still want to compete at the highest level. Yes they would be great geys but they also know they would have battling trying to make a bowl instead of trying to make playoff where they opted to go.
