Well Chandler is the #1 PG in the country and a projected lottery pick, not many guys are going to want to come in and compete with that verse somewhere with a gaping hole at PG, just the way it is. I think at guard you can sell someone, and in the post, especially without BHH announcing anything.I dont think they are crappy. However I dont think they are bonafide studs that command the kind of respect you're pushing.

Kentucky landed the guard from Davidson despite signing a stud PG and landed the post from WVU despite signing two 5 star post players. I get it may be tougher but im just not buying what you're selling because its not stopping other teams. Hell, Walker Kessler is apparently headed to Gonzaga and they are about to land the number 1 kid in the country who is a better version in all aspects than Kessler.
My point is that these other teams who have just as much talent or more on paper than we do aren't scaring off the upper end transfers.

Yet youre ignoring Mark Few with Kessler? Or us recruiting and landing some of those same kids they are recruiting.
Again, the logic doesn't work. It's excuse making for us.
Well, Zags haven't had a losing season in Few's tenure...in fact his worst season was 23-11. They play in a softer conference, but are still consider a blue blood in basketball (or damn close to one) and a kid looking to have one break out season and get minutes can go there and do just that.
If you're trying to paint UT as more attractive than Gonzaga then you're wrong. If you're trying to say "we can get high end players too!" then I don't disagree, but also remember we've already seen one assistant leave and another is likely leaving as well. For HC jobs, but still that means new faces with no relationships built with the players so it's a harder sell.
My OP was in response to BTO suggesting that our current roster is too good for these higher level transfers to consider us. That we don't have many minutes to give. I disagreed by pointing out a couple of the high level transfers choosing rosters that are, at the very least, equal to ours. If we are being honest, both Gonzaga and UK will probably have a better roster than ours.
Added Furman’s Noah Gurley, 6’8” 210lbs, well rounded 4 man that can handle that ball some and step outside too.Guys Tennessee has been mentioned with:

Grady won’t be playing PG at UK unless something bad happens, he brings a shooter to them which they sorely need and Calipari can sell him that. With Gonzaga, Holmgren can play 3-5, so he can play just fine alongside Kessler.Kentucky landed the guard from Davidson despite signing a stud PG and landed the post from WVU despite signing two 5 star post players. Can’t use Burns in your example. He skipped his senior year of high school and signed with the intention of red shirting to mature and develop.
