If you like this style music the best ever is George Acosta out of Miami. That is my opinion. Other Fla greats include:

1. DJ Icey- Orlando
2. DJ Eros- Orlando It is hard to find but his first album is the BEST I have seen him live and WOW!
Fla. is eat up with great DJs.

I don't like trance in particular...

I do like down-tempo and trip-hop, though. Thievery Corporation, Telepopmusik and Morcheeba are some favorites.

Best = Oakenfold, hands down. Other greats include Sasha, Digweed, Dave Seaman, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, and BT. Daft Punk is incredible, but not really "trance."

Here is my brother (Dustin America, Vancouver, WA -- French/Disco House):

An interesting pair. One brother goes on to be a doctor in Tennessee, while the other produces house music in Portland.

Love the Daft Punk, as well. Discovery is one of the favorite albums on the circulation right now. Been trying to peg the solo to Digital Love in my free time lately.

Your brother looks familiar, BTW. Maybe I've seen him around, on one of my late night excursions around downtown.

Well. . . .I've always said that with two lives, I'd spend my other one making music. If you think about it, both professions have the power to "heal." Still working on a way to make more time for my creative side.

D does spin at some various venues around P-town from time to time. I know he's done some work with Portland Housing Authority, and I'll check on the names of the places he's played. You might have also caught him at the Rogue House?
