Tragic event here in Alabam last night.....

Lincoln High School, Lincoln Alabama, Head Coach Ken Howard had a heart attack right before half time on the field. He passed away before reaching the hospital. These kids need alot of prayers and thoughts. He was 48.

not meaning to hijack your thread, but i remember a very sad article in a Sports Illustrated magazine about a beloved coach that was shot and killed by his own student. It turns out this coach actually coached 4-5 current NFL players. Does anyone remember this article and what it was called?

And the year before, the town went through a tornado...you talk about a tough couple years...:cray:

This is the community where the head coach was shot and killed at summer weightlifting by a former player in front of several players. Well-respected coach that had 4 former players in the NFL. The team actually played their season opener on ESPN Friday night as a tribute.
