Traffic issue in Knoxville Saturday

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Traffic will be slowed because of a huge generator being transported from Knox County to Virginia in the next 15 to 20 days.
Saturday, it will go from the Forks of the River Industrial Park in Knox County to Jefferson City. It will take up at least two travel lanes and will go only 8 to 10 mph. Traffic will not be allowed to pass.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation has urged motorists to use alternate routes.
Affected are Highways 168, 11E, 25E, 58 and Strawberry Plains Pike.
The destination is St. Paul, Va.

Something similar to this happened 25+ years ago, but the large object was coming into the Forks of the River Industrial park. They had to reinforce and widen parts of John Sevier hwy.

i was reading about this earlier in the week. i have to get my boy out to see this. it ought to be a trip to see.
