taRRiffs have not caused inflation...where is the skyhigh inflation VN taRRiff experts said would happen? So you've already lost the bet before you even made the bet EinsteinAt least spell tariff correctly, Einstein.
If you're ready to place a bet on no inflationary effects from tariffs, let's do it.

"It's true.....Truflation's real-time US inflation index (which pulls from over 18 million data points across 12 sectors for a more granular, on-chain view than the official BLS CPI) clocked in at 2.05% as of the morning of September 24, 2025. That's a solid drop from the 3.1% it hovered around in early January 2025, signaling cooling pressures across food, energy, shelter, and other categories.
This puts it tantalizingly close to the Fed's 2% target, especially with the latest official CPI at 2.9% for the 12 months ending August (up slightly from 2.7% in July). Truflation's edge is its speed—it updates daily and often leads BLS reports by 45 days with 99.97% historical accuracy, so this could preview a softer September print due out mid-October." - GROK

Trump introduces host of new tariffs - from trucks to kitchen sinks
In a Truth Social post on Thursday night, Trump vowed to 'protect our Great Heavy Truck Manufacturers from unfair outside competition.'www.dailymail.co.uk
Hey @hog88 what say ye about Trump's big truck tariffs?
“In order to protect our Great Heavy Truck Manufacturers from unfair outside competition, I will be imposing, as of October 1st, 2025, a 25% Tariff on all ‘Heavy (Big!) Trucks’ made in other parts of the World,” Trump said in a Truth Social post Thursday.
Previous tariffs that Trump has levied — including 50% tariffs on steel, aluminum and copper — have raised costs considerably for US truck manufacturers. Foreign-built trucks, including those made by Germany’s Daimler Truck and International Motors, are typically manufactured in Mexico and imported tariff-free because of the US-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement — so long as roughly two-thirds of the truck’s parts were made in North America.
Tariffs were, in part, designed to boost US manufacturing and give American factories a leg up over foreign-made products. But steel and aluminum tariffs have shifted the supply-demand balance, raising the price of all metals — both imported and domestic. That means Trump’s tariffs have made some US-built trucks more costly than trucks made by foreign manufacturers.
many knew all along the economy was in a recession. All it takes is a destructive Dem President to have a recession, not tarriffs...
leftist media: we're not in a recession, we're not in a recession, we're not in a recession, we're not in a recession..Biden gone..we're in a recession..

I thought this was the case when I saw that idiotic tariff announcement. It’s another really stupid action but I figured it wouldn’t have much of an impact.Freightliner is the only class 8 truck I know of that has manufacturing facilities outside of the US that imports into the US. They build some of their trucks in MX and let me tell you something, they are the biggest pieces of sh^t we have bought in over a decade. We have 6 114SDs we ordered between 2020 and 2024 and everyone of them spent more time in the shop during the first year of service than they did turning revenue, 90% of the problems weren't due to bad components it was shoddy assembly. You have to remember that for the most part the manufactures are only building the cabs, all of the components engines, transmissions and rear ends are made by other companies and just assembled by the OEM.
KW and Peterbilt probably have manufacturing plants in MX and Canada but our KW880s are put together in Chillicothe, OH and Pete 567s are coming out of Denton, TX, Cummins engines are manufactured in New York and Eaton transmissions come out of either IN, TX or WI. So we won't be impacted or if we are it will be minor.
Mack and Volvos are made in NC, VA and PA. I don't know where International and Western Starr are made. So in short unless you're buying a Mercedes you shouldn't see a significant impact.
Started with Biden and the fake jobs Biden's conies in BLS made up then later had to revise downard almost 2 million. Even left leaning BLoomberg has it starting in April 2004, almost 4 years after Trump. It started under Trump in 2020 dude..Biden didn't help and retarded Trump isn't helping either.
That has absolutely nothing to do with Trump not understanding how to conduct international trade. It's absolutely nothing like conducting real estate dealsStarted with Biden and the fake jobs Biden's conies in BLS made up then later had to revise downard almost 2 million. "I burned the sh!t out of my left hand by putting it on one of those evil Ikea cook tops that I couldnt figure out how to turn off BUT I had a bucket of ice water (for my ALS) that my right hand was holding so it was ok" - TrumpSo, US farmers, who are being hurt by Trump's tariff wars with other countries, are going to be bailed out by US consumers, who are paying Trump's tariffs; 'stable genius.'
