Whether the tariff gets passed onto the consumer or not is irrelevant to the fact that the importer pays the tariff when the goods enter a US port.as it it is right now, US consumers are paying very little....
"Director of the National Economic Council, Kevin Hassett has asserted that foreign companies are adjusting prices to maintain their market share in the U.S. in the face of tariffs. He has indicated that the administration believes foreign producers are shouldering the costs of the tariffs by cutting prices rather than passing them on to American consumers. Hassett cites a recent White House study that found import prices have been falling faster than overall goods prices"
the numbers are showing the US CONSUMER right now is bearing little brunt of the tarriffs.Stating facts isn't derangement. Ignoring or believing them false because they conflict with your idol's dogma is.
right now US CONSUMERS are paying very little of tarriffs...check with your 2nd grade math teacher..
the issue I have been pointing out is the CONSUMER is not bearing the brunt of the tarriff.....which is what really matters.Whether the tariff gets passed onto the consumer or not is irrelevant to the fact that the importer pays the tariff when the goods enter a US port.
Th country of origin does not pay a tariff levied by the US government.
consumers are paying some price increases but not the brunt of it. The economy is good, inflation is down and leftist are mad.And I posted two links from two major US companies (one being the largest retailer in the US btw) saying that isn’t sustainable. And prices are going to go up.
Check with anybody with a functioning brain… who can clearly read whom actually pays the tariffs on imported goods.
And companies are straight up telling us that will not continue. Since they are the ones actually paying the tariffs and those costs are rolled up in their quarterly earnings.consumers are paying some price increases but not the brunt of it. The economy is good, inflation is down and leftist are mad.
---I never said importers pay no tarriffs but have said CONSUMERS right now are bearing little of the cost of tarriffs. And companies are straight up telling us that will not continue. Since they are the ones actually paying the tariffs and those costs are rolled up in their quarterly earnings.
Lol, so as long as 100% of all tariffs aren't passed on to the consumer, you will continue to erroneously believe that foreign countries pay US tariffs instead of US importers?consumers are paying some price increases but not the brunt of it. The economy is good, inflation is down and leftist are mad.
Trump is not right. He continues to show he has no damn idea how tariffs even work.---I never said importers pay no tarriffs but have said CONSUMERS right now are bearing little of the cost of tarriffs.
--Trump is right, right now foreign producers are paying for a brunt of the tarriffs as the data I posted indicated.
---the left just keeps hoping the economy falls apart. Walmart increases the cost of a bag of underwear made in China by 20 cents and the left hopes the economy collapeses
And companies are straight up telling us that will not continue. Since they are the ones actually paying the tariffs and those costs are rolled up in their quarterly earnings.
I’ve made couple of posts on it already. If it’s actually 15% reciprocal tariffs those are worse both ways than what we had with Japan the day Trump took office. Seems a bit like the UK deal. Much adieu about nothing but gives Trump something to point at.What’s everyone’s thoughts on new Japan trade agreement?

Right now what tariffs are in place haven't been there long enough to cause pain. Give it some time.the numbers are showing the US CONSUMER right now is bearing little brunt of the tarriffs.
now where is this thru the roof inflation the left wing experts said we would have due to the tarriffs
the low inflation numbers show there are very little price increases...foreign producers are eating most of the tarriffs....in the video below, Amazon, one of the largest retailers in the world is seeing no prices increases.....where is the sky high inflation at the left said tarriffs would cause?Lol, so as long as 100% of all tariffs aren't passed on to the consumer, you will continue to erroneously believe that foreign countries pay US tariffs instead of US importers?
Wow...
Trumps' left butt check has a higher IQ than all the leftist combined.Trump is not right. He continues to show he has no damn idea how tariffs even work.
And on today’s deal those tariffs are worse both ways than we had the day Trump took office. We had most favored nation status with Japan already.
Claiming TDS on someone while fantasizing about Trump’s assTrumps' left butt check has a higher IQ than all the leftist combined.
Your TDS is terminal...you make things up out of thin air just to attack Trump.
the left was saying saying 'give it some' time months ago. CONSUMERS are not bearing most of the tarriffs...foreign producers are. Again, the cpi and ppi numbers are low...so where are the skyhigh prices and inflation that tarriffs are suppose to cause as the left keeps saying?Right now what tariffs are in place haven't been there long enough to cause pain. Give it some time.
Importers still pay tariffs regardless of what Trump and his minions claim.
then where are the skyhigh prices and associated inflation that tarriffs are suppose to be causing? Importers pay tarriffs and would pass that cost on, then why has Amazon not seen price increases?Claiming TDS on someone while fantasizing about Trump’s ass
I give Trump credit when he does things right. His energy policy for one which I did a few posts back. And I call him a moron when he’s a moron. And he’s a moron on international trade.
I told you where. It’s only been two months of reported data since the idiocy of April. And before that we all saw the surge in imports to avoid the initial tariff hit. And the largest retailer in the US has said prices are going up.then where are the skyhigh prices and associated inflation that tarriffs are suppose to be causing? Importers pay tarriffs and would pass that cost on, then why has Amazon not seen price increases?
.....and you do suffer from TDS.
just wait...just wait....just wait....just wait....I told you where. It’s only been two months of reported data since the idiocy of April. And before that we all saw the surge in imports to avoid the initial tariff hit. And the largest retailer in the US has said prices are going up.
The only way you win out is if Trump chickens out on the tariffs. Again. Like he has every damn time. Bessett has already indicated China is going to get a stay of execution so Trump is crawfishing that back. Again.
By all means keep it up. I do enjoy your idiotic chest thumping based on the record of your hero folding on his own tariff demands![]()
just wait...just wait....just wait....just wait....
Here's someone else you can attack.....
"Trump’s trade deals are coming in and they're obscenely in America's favor."
Just like with the application of law in this country, the ones that try to be friendliest and try to work within the good framework are the ones that almost always get ****ed the hardest.LMAO you bet I’ll attack him he’s a bigger Trump lap dog than you are. Hey don’t take my word for it take the quarterly report statement from the biggest retailer in the US.
Also one thing I’ve agreed on is going after China. Show me that trade deal, the one against our biggest geopolitical foe.
But you can’t because it’s already being floated they will get a stay again. Yet instead we get higheg tariffs both directions with one of our biggest trading partners that we had most favored nation with prior to this stupidity![]()
