I WANT appliances with no computer chips. It's just an addition that will fail. Ice makers in refrigerator/freezers are a great example. They now always break and stop making ice. A repair tech told my dad that if the ice maker is in the refrigerator area, it will fail. It's just a matter of time. Then it will never work properly again. Mine just recently failed in my Samsung refrigerator/freezer.Our economy is too reliant on consumerism and the need for bells and whistles .Look at vehicles..you have power seats with memory, mirrors, 8 computers, heated this and that, blah blah blah.,It is just too much, How about an appliance without a computer? I would gladly go analog on just about anything and it would be cheaper, which would offset MIA costs, and last longer.
Everything has planned obsolescence these days..gotta keep those factories cranking.
