Trade Wars and Tariffs

Our economy is too reliant on consumerism and the need for bells and whistles .Look at vehicles..you have power seats with memory, mirrors, 8 computers, heated this and that, blah blah blah.,It is just too much, How about an appliance without a computer? I would gladly go analog on just about anything and it would be cheaper, which would offset MIA costs, and last longer.

Everything has planned obsolescence these days..gotta keep those factories cranking.
I WANT appliances with no computer chips. It's just an addition that will fail. Ice makers in refrigerator/freezers are a great example. They now always break and stop making ice. A repair tech told my dad that if the ice maker is in the refrigerator area, it will fail. It's just a matter of time. Then it will never work properly again. Mine just recently failed in my Samsung refrigerator/freezer. 🤬

not really..one can just do without a fancy showerhead. How many showerheads does one buy, except a remodel, and just use old one.

More about what you'd pay for something domestic versus foreign.

I'm interested in hearing about how you came to those specific values.

In fact, on April 24, about a dozen Chinese officials, including a "high-ranking official from the Chinese Ministry of Finance," were seen entering the U.S. Treasury's main building in Washington at 7:00 in the morning as Chinese security officials attempted to prevent photographers from recording the entry.

looks like Trump was telling the truth..so much for you that root for the CCP

Believe that if it makes you feel better.

I supposed you also believe that Trump is telling the truth that he's going to cut/eliminate income taxes for people earning under $200,000 because China will pay them for you.
