As noted earlier. The only TDS I know of is Trump is a Dumbass Syndrome. That’s obvious from his misreading the Constitution of the United States and the laws pertaining to his power. And thinking he had a court where the fix was in. He got slapped down today like the petulant child that he is. His cult members probably should devote their time helping Dear Leader figure out how he’s going to pay back the billions of dollars that were unlawfully taken from companies and taxpayers. That’s the next step that has to happen. Should be fun to see how he tries to dodge that question.

Which just got passed down to the consumer. All while the admin was saying they’d write us checks (whatever happened to those doge checks lol). Just more checks to be written to pump up inflation

That’s right also. However there is a paper trail from the importer of record to the Feds so that’s what they’ll act on. We were morons for paying higher prices that’s on us. Or that’s the rationalization anyway. But it’s an election year and I fully expect Trump to try and funnel that money back to the public somehow. And yeah drive up inflation as you said.

And it’s very specific on when you can apply section 122 tariffs. Now I fully expect the admin will claim this balance of payments deficit exists for all 190+ countries. However I expect them to get laughed out of court

My prediction (or more accurate my expectation) is that there are various laws already on the books that will be used to get to the desired result. Every trade agreement (with the biggest partners) is going to be unique in deal points, supporting code, and the willingness to be acceptEd by the partners and their recognition of the USA’s reasons. Mexico and Canada - USMCA is outside of the 2025 tariffs. China needs pushback from all involved. Japan really wants to be our BFF. Vietnam really doesn’t want to risk anything that could harm their access to the US consumer. Europe as well.

I might be wrong, but can’t Trump already just end trade with any country if he chooses to take that course?

Oh I don’t think we should get checks I just think it’s funny (sad really) citizens get boned while corporate America comes out on top yet again.

Anything to keep the Dow above 50k

He said a whole bunch of stupid 💩 today which I know is patently wrong from doing my own research. He did say the bolded as well as saying he could destroy a country too.

The doge checks are still sitting in the inbox... buried under the healthcare plan, concepts of an agreement on Greenland and $10B lawsuit against the IRS.
