Tourism to the US is cratering

Egg salad might’ve went up.

4/8/2025 Augusta Chronicle:

How much is a pimento cheese sandwich at the Masters?

Egg Salad: $1.50
Pimento Cheese: $1.50
Pork Bar-B-Que: $3
Savory Tomato Pie: $3
Masters Club: $3
Chicken Salad on Honey Wheat: $3
Ham and Cheese on Rye: $3
Classic Chicken: $3

Plus free parking.

Meanwhile at UT sporting events a can of beer sets you back $15.

I was just kidding. They get you in the merchandise shop.

So much winning. So this must be what the tourism industry is like in North Korea.

That’s odd, I see YouTube channels that explicitly have people from Europe visiting the US and that love America. Of course what business depends on European tourism to survive?

It’s been that way for a long time. People falsely romanticize Europe.
Plus, the Karbon Kult in Germany and some other greenie controlled countries are talking about limiting the number of airline flights their citizens are ALLOWED to take (the bigwigs travelling to climate change and economic summits of course are exempt)
But I do enjoy Europe, at least to visit.

I mean, if you've seen it on YouTube it must be an accurate depiction of reality; right?

Says the one who post “One Mile at A Time” websites.

This was the opening paragraph

We’ve heard a lot of stories about decreased foreign travel demand to the United States, for a variety of reasons. That information has largely been anecdotal, or has been based on forecasts rather than actual travel data, since there’s a gap between when people book tickets and when they actually travel.

What REALLY happened, European tourists started encountering Buc ees. The European mind could not even begin to cope and many of them had to cut their trips short for mental health treatment 😂

Walk into one at any time of day and say tourism is down. Those aren’t locals keeping the doors open.

I really don’t understand what EL’s game plan is. I mean, is the idea that enough complaints will somehow force Trump to step down early? I mean, getting upset 10x every day for 4 years is not a recipe for either mental or physical health 🤔
Reality is a tough thing to face. You can ignore it all you want; but it will not ignore you.
