I went to the Clemson board to see if there was anything about this just now. I left quickly due to the extreme level of retardation...for example: A guy posted a thread about how they have nothing to be embarrassed about. I opened it, half thinking it would be slamming TN or some other down program. NO, this guys whole post was how at least they didn't go the entire season ranked #1 only to lay an egg in the NC game!

Somehow VN looked more sane than that.

Many here wanted Steele badly, and were pissed that he "turned us down" before we hired Wilcox, now all of the sudden he's not good enough. Steele would be a good hire IMO, not a capital "BOOM", but maybe a "boom". The WV game got away from them, but we wouldnt be able to find anyone that we all could agree on if every coach was judged on one game. Anyway, JMO and of course TIFWIW.

The sad thing is that really couldn't care less. I've loved UT football more than I care to admit for a long, long time. But right now, I just feel like we've got to suck it up for another year. Dooley could surely prove me wrong, but I'm just not even convinced that this DC hire will be here for longer than a year. Because of that, I have very low expectations on who we'll be able to get.

You wanna see a board in full retard mode, go look at Tigerdroppings. Their season was a failure and no one respects them anymore. Les Miles is in the hotseat.

Well...they didn't look very good. He is probably getting ripped apart about not at least trying to get Lee in the ballgame.

Oh well, short of a tie, I would have been irritated with whoever won.

Dooley doesn't need to try and win the press conference. If he thinks Steele is the best guy then that is who he needs to hire. If he doesn't win in '12 it won't matter what all the fans thought about his DC hire anyway.

If true the Steele hiring is probably the best case scenario at this point. Hopefully he can solidify the class and open doors for the 13 class. I don't think coaching is that big of a factor with the state of the Dooley staff.

I could understand why Clemson decided to part ways with Steele after the way his D played in their bowl.
