TOS saying concerns about Pearson eligibility.

I love Pig. I also love me some Von. Your excessive insistence that Von sucks very quickly has me scratching my head as to what your motive is, especially since Von in no way sucks. Very aware that Vic is no longer on the team....just trying to do the math.

I never said Von sucks, I just heard hes slow and I joined in on the Pig vs Von conversation. And I believe Pig is our best receiver. Whartons gone move on from that kid. I forgot about Wharton.......can you?

Von is a very talented receiver who I believe will play on Sunday's. However, he is one of our slower receivers. Great hands and cutting ability though, which makes him special. Jerry rice wasn't a burner, he just caught the damn ball, every time.

You very muched implied it and I wasn't the only one who noticed it. You went beyond saying that Von is slow (which he's not), you came up with some mess saying that Pig beat him by 10 yards in a 40 TD dash, which we all know is crap. Then, for some reason, you took it a step further by saying he wouldn't get an invite to the combine and would get a chance to run for scouts at UTs proday.....when nobody said anything about remotely about Von's NFL chances. Came across as a very personal take, especially given your relationship with Vic. So....who exactly is it who can't forget Wharton? Hint: it ain't me.

Thanks for the input GFW. Your opinion carries more weight than most.

When I watch Von I don't see a burner, but I also don't see a slow footed WR that's gonna lose a 40yd dash by 10 yards to anybody like LionPride just said. I always assumed he's a mid 4.5 guy.

What I do see is a guy with very good lateral quickness and excellent ball skills. He attacks the ball better than any of our guys IMHO and because he's 6'2 or 6'3 with long arms he has a much better catching radius than Pig which makes him a better target on most of not all routes.

I did not imply that he sucks, I just gave an opinion based on information that I heard, take it for what it's worth I don't care. Like I said, I don't think Von sucks I think Pig is better. Im still confused how Wharton even made it into the conversation. You brought him up not me.

I've already explained it. I wasn't the only one who inferred it. You seemed pretty passionate to let us know how slow Von is and how he's not talented enough to get a look from the NFL. It wasn't a long leap to wonder if Vic had something to do with your opinion. That's all.

Why don't you respond to my post where I showed how ridiculous your claim was. If you can't back it up, you should bow out.

I haven't given Wharton a single thought for months until seeing your post this morning. Kid is NOT who the average Tennessee fan thinks he is/was after being hailed as the recruiting pied piper of the 2014 class so I have no problem moving on and forgetting him.

Well thanks, I've been told I have a good sense of humor. 😉

One final question though. How did you know about this alleged 40yd dash among the WRs? Did you somehow actually witness it? Or did a certain young freshman WR tell you about it (which, quite honestly, is what I've assumed)?

it was actually a GA who's parents live next door to me.

I'm teaching Contemporary Moral Problems this Summer - send him my way. I'm not going to do him any favors, but it's not the most difficult class. It's something that if you're willing to try, you'll pass.

I'm taking that class right now. Haha. Graduating in 2 weeks.

Hah! So you're actually claiming that Pig won by ten yards in a 40 yard dash?

So let's say Pig runs a 4.4 40. That means after 4.4 seconds, Pearson was 30 yards into his run. So that means that Pearson was running each 10 yard split in an average of 1.47 seconds. Give him the extra ten yards at the same pace, and he would be running a 5.86 40.

Dan McCullers ran a 5.2 40 for his low combine time. You want me to believe that Pearson is 0.66 seconds slower in the 40 than Mt. McCullers? All 6'7 350 lbs of him? Laughable.

Stephen Hawking can run a sub 5.85 40. Get your sh*t together. Make up something remotely believable next time.

Edit: Even if you were exaggerating, and you meant 5 yards, your claim is BS. Keep the 4.4 time for Pig, which he would have to have to beat people like Smith. Now, Pearson ran 35 yards in 4.4 seconds. He, then, ran each 5 yard increment in an average of 0.63 seconds. He had 5 yards remaining to run, and so would have finished a 40 yard dash in 5.03 seconds. That would have been slower than Dominique Easley's combine time.

Edit part 2: I was using Scout.com's McCullers 40 yard dash time. Apparently ESPN has him at 5.05...which makes your claim even more preposterous.

Edit part 3: the extrapolated time from him having been 10 yards behind Pig would have been the slowest 40 time for any player at the combine in 10 years.

Edit part 4: just because I can't help but put this dog down for good. Let's imagine that you were super drunk when you typed that, and instead of ten you meant two. Heck, they both start with a t...so I can understand the confusion. That means that Pearson had finished 38 yards by the time Pig finished his 40. Keeping a 4.4 40 for Pig, Pearson would be running a 4.63 40. That would make Pearson one of the slowest WRs in college football.

Now, according to NFLdraftscout.com, Pigs average 40 time is 4.48. Let's do the same calculation to see what Pearson would be running if he lost by 2 yards to a 4.48 40. That would give him a 4.72 40. That would give him a slower 40 time than Aaron Donald, and the same 40 time as Eagles OT Lane Johnson. And that is if he only lost by 2 yards, and assuming Pig ran his average 40.

Should have stopped after Stephen Hawking. That was funny and would have been enough.

Yeaaaah. But that argument was weak sauce. Hawking knows how to use wormholes. He could probably smoke all of them. I needed to end on some stone cold facts. :)
