TOS reporting shoulder injury to QD

No really don't remember any hard hits or throw downs on shoulder. Dormady was just sacked 3 times. It's just confounding that JG supposed to be such a DT and Dormady is supposed to be a statue and JG has been sacked 9 time in 1 start and 3 backup appearances. Don't make sense.
Doesn't Dormady have 6 INTs though? Sometimes, taking a sack while trying to make a play with your legs is better than throwing a pick.

As I have said before!! Under the "Butch Jones Regime" anytime a player gets HURT, they all REQUIRE season ending injuries...........just go back 5 years and look.... there is never a 1 game injury its always 4 - 8 weeks or season ending.......or maybe its just me.....

Why the f does Butch hide all of this crap? So when it comes out after sh*t hits the fan then it looks like an excuse?

Due to confidentiality and HIIPA laws it is completely the student athlete's decision as to what information to release and when if ever the injury information is released. UT's lawyers have advised Butch not to release medical information without the consent of the player. That is why he is always so vague about injuries.

Do HIIPA laws apply to Butch Jones's lies?

ThereÂ’s no such thing as a completely healthy player. Peyton put in most of his HOF resume with that herniated disc in his neck. No telling when it started but it was something he lived with until he had to address it...and it almost ended his career. Which coach that benefitted from his talent do we start throwing rocks at? And if less advanced technology had intervened and he had been a less impactful player afterwards? Would there have been second guessing? Hell yeah! ItÂ’s what we do. Butch has always shut down players when heÂ’s aware they have serious medical issues. Just because his days are numbered and some want to have enough dirt for the top of his grave, doesnÂ’t justify reinventing reality.

With you 100% on this one Butchna. Lots of problems that Coach Jones should take responsibility for. Sitting a player because he has an injury should never be one. Not in football as it's played now. Manning was a professional and being paid to play. If he chose to play injured so he could maximize his income, that was his choice to make.

Perhaps your comment is meant to be funny, but that is an interesting question. Can you be in violation of HIPAA for lying about a players health condition? Has he actually lied? Don't really know on that one.

Aren't we trying to red shirt Mcbride?

He will have to go in each time JG's helmet comes off. Burn a red shirt over a chin strap.

C'mon man!

Figure it out Vols.

Beat the gumps!

Surely even Butch wouldn't do this. Surely he wouldn't. Right? Please tell me I'm right. Dear God he actually might do it....

He played way too much for that

Kinda depends on your definition of "play". Dormady was on the field and participating, but I'd hardly term what the coaching staff called on him to do as "playing football".

Actual injury? Or butch covering stuff up again... he will transfer At the end of the year anywayz I think they are just covering up the fact he is quitting the team!!!!! Just butch trying to control the narrative in my opinion!!

That sure is a lot of work for Butch, considering he’s “already agreed to a buyout and will resign Sunday” ...

Lol

Maybe they do this because the alternative is to put kids out there than aren't ready and then their unrelenting fan base says they can't coach because they lose games or make weird decisions in the game because they know who is playing can't run sophisticated plays?

That's certainly a thought. Unfortunately from what we've seen from the brain trust on the sidelines, it could just as easily be the coaching staff who should be on the injured list due to lack of mental acuity.

That hits the nail on the head with Butch, as far as I'm concerned. He is dishonest so much that we can't even know for sure whether our backup QB, who's one snap (of JG's chinstrap) from playing, is really hurt or not. We can't know if it's real or just a cover to allow QD to no longer play or make excuses for the poor play before to gain sympathy and open up his transfer options.

That is sad.

If it was any other coach I would agree but hiding players behind false injury news has been a staple of Butch's since he's been here. I guarantee if Dormady was still starting this wouldn't have come out. And he hasn't missed practice the last month or had any news of any kind of rehabbing his shoulder.

Sounds like you are waiting for fake news of a fake surgery to repair a fake injury all designed to cover the defection of a player unhappy at being demoted.

The real story more likely is the one about it's still very very risky business playing behind the offensive line and why that line play and "the system" remain so offensive.

I hope he gets it fixed and returns in great form next season under our new coach. Now we have to hope that JG doesn't get hurt or McBride will have to play and I don't know who is number four maybe Jancek.

No, butch can tell you whatever the **** he wants as long as its NOT TRUE and not paper trail exists!

But he cant and shouldn't disclose injury to a player unless the player has authorized such a release. Even the players parents cant authorize a release, only the player. Disclosure of certain injuries (concussions, knees, etc) could have financial impact on a players value later thus schools have to be very careful.

I hear you. I tried to talk about the probability of Gruden becoming head coach and was almost tarred and feathered in the Gruden delusion thread.

I agree that Jones brings much of his troubles and scritiny on himself. I just don't think this is another Jones' cover-up.

There's a lot more sanity anywhere in the football or political threads (even during the election) than in the Gruden threads. That one is a topic for if you want to go down the rabbit hole and never come back out.

You mad?

If kelly or Chandler can throw the ball any, we could see either of them if QD is out. That could be an interesting situation. One at QB and the other at RB. Would give you a true option on any play.
