With LeBron's title, this puts him in the top 10. Who ya got in your top ten?
1. Magic Johnson
2. Michael Jordan up 1
3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar down to 10 or out of top 10
4. Tim Duncan This is retarded
5. Larry Bird
6. Bill Russell I don't like Russell here, lower
7. Hakeem Olajuwon Olajuwon over Shaq is crazy
8. Wilt Chamberlain see 7
9. LeBron James lol if he gets 2 more I wil consider it
10. Jerry West
Is this a list of how good these players were or how good they were compared to their competition?
If it is the former, then LeBron is easily on top and Jordan might be in the top five (these guys are just much bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic today, thanks to supplements and weight training, than they were if they were coming out of high school in the late-70s/early-80s.
If we are talking about better, compared to the competition, then Jordan, Wilt, and Russell are easily the top three (in what order, though? I cannot say).
I'll take Dr. J's athletic ability over 99% of the NBA today, along with a few others.
You take the best athletes in the late 70's and 80's and they will compete with the best athletes today.
Now you go back past that and yea you are gonna have a hard time finding the athletes.
David Robinson would be in there before Olajuwon.
Kobe not in the top ten shows you are a hater.
Shaq needs to be in the top 10
If Dr. J would of made his way to the NBA before the ABA he could definitely been among the top 10.
Pete Marovich I love
Karl Malone is another player to consider
John stockton I absolutely love. He played point how it was suppose to be played
If my last two would of got a ring together, they would definitely be in the top ten
My reasons: A) Magic could do it all. He was arguably the most complete player of all time. B) He was an incredible leader. C) Jordan was such an ******* those first six years, while Magic wasn't.
I just don't know how to project Russell's game today. Duncan could have done what Russ did in the 60's. Easy.
Ok has not changed in your opinion? If you say yes you are ignorant.
I love how it went from he is not in my top ten because he throws everybody under the bus, to he has not changed.
I'm only gonna go with players that are post-expansion because I can't do the Wilts and the Gilmores justice. No specific order:
Magic
MJ
Stockton
Lebron
Barkley
Shaq
Bird
Malone
Kareem
Rodman
