There you have it folks. We will NEVER compete for an SEC championship until this staff fixes our passing offense. Under CBJ our passing attack has been average at its best and trash at its worst. There are all these other reasons that we can find to blame for losses past, and the many losses coming ( if the passing game isn't fixed ), like the defense, the special teams, injuries, youth, game mismanagement, being too conservative, etc,. But, I'm telling you, I'm screaming it from the roof tops to anybody who will listen. I'm trying to save this great fan base a ton of heartaches! Do not get your hopes up again until you see our offense under CBJ consistently executing the passing attack, DOWN THE FIELD.

Butch will never get more than 2 games over .500 as long as he's at UT. Feel free to bump this post as soon as he's relieved of his duties (which won't be this year unfortunately).

100% agree. I believe we have no passing scheme. I think Debord has no intention of installing a real passing attack.

No, it won't be this year, unless North Texas is the only game we win the rest of this year. I want coach Jones to succeed. I want him to fix our passing attack. He still has time.

The passing game is fine so long as we have the lead. Once we have a lead it goes missing. It's not the fault of dobbs it the wrs...it's the coach

Hasn't Saban won a bunch by basically running the football?

We can start nitpicking the different parts of a passing attack but the bottom line is that it comes down to coaching. Either this staff can get our passing attack on track or they can't. I'm not gonna bash players. Not gonna do it. It's all in the coaching.

That IS the easy route. So are YOU ready to start over? 2019 here we come.

No way dude. I wouldn't trade our fan base for any in the world. I love the passion. We won't settle for losing to FL, Bama, and GA. We aren't gonna settle for only beating vandy and Kentucky and a few wcu's mtsu's and bowling greens along the way.

Yes sir he has. But, he keeps defense of balance by taking advantage of the run blitz and 8 in the box by executing the down the field passing attack. Ever heard of Julio Jones? How about amari cooper?

Butch Jones talks about execution ALL THE DAMN TIME. Perhaps he needs to start executing. I wish he would take responsibility, fire his buddies and bring in some football coaches who can stop a 4th and 14 desperation play and create a wide receiver other than the quarterback capable of scoring. For crying out loud, we've got a bunch of amateur lightweights coaching this team up!

I'm not buying the excuse that Dobbs is the problem. He can throw the ball. It's not like the florida qb, or even the ou qb, are brilliant passers--they aren't. We just can't seem to avoid being florida patsies every year. It's coaching.

Basically, the only offense we had, aside from one trick play, was Dobbs running the ball. We made a very few plays otherwise--Hurd played his guts out--but basically we ran Dobbs constantly. You know, I'm glad we ran Dobbs--that was something we needed to do, take advantage of his running ability. But you have to do MORE than that!
