Settle down everyone. Take a step back and breathe. OP I understand your upset as all of us are about the 2 games this year that have been handed to our opposition. But coming on a message board, that is created to voice opinions, and see how VON PEARSON is doing, ( I KEED I KEED) is ridiculous. Calling out our VOL brethren for saying what every major sporting news base is saying, CRAZY. :loco: We need to stand behind the team. We need to help each other, and most of all we need to get a grip. I came to volnation along time ago, and dont post much. But your post calling out guys, and gals just like you, who support the VOLS isnt right. Lets beat the tar out of Arkansas this weekend, and figure out the best way to make the best out of what we have left of this season. Because before to long it will be the offseason again, and we will be back in the Playoff race. So Deal with it. As always, SEMPER FI, AND GBO.

In what year, if at all, did you realize Dooley might not be a good coach?
Everybody in the nation, every news outlet, every sports writer, every wife of a sports fan is saying he crapped two games away by making bone headed mistakes.
We have the worst sunshine pumping fans that I've ever seen. If you say anything negative or question a coach's ability, you're a closet Bama fan.
I remember all of the people who blew smoke up Dooley butt for so many years and talked about how if we fire him we will set the program back 5 years.
Even former players say Dooley was a better x's and o's coach than Jones. Go tell them they're trolling.

The ONLY thing that can be said is CBJ did take responsibility for the 2 losses. DUH, he and the staff did cost UT the games. You can present that anyway you want, he IS not getting it done.
John and Mary Beer Can spend a lot of money on the Orange and want results. That's the name of the game.

Amen brother.. We are still gonna cheer and pull for our team.. The pain of the loss is slowly fading away.. I just can't imagine the hurt of the boys that played Saturday... I'm sure I know they're hurting much more than us.. So let's try to get over this...I know we won't forget and take that hurt and pain to the Hogs Saturday night...

I am not sure Butch ever played. If so he was never close to elite. So, does this mean that he shouldn't be allowed to have opinions on coaching? Just using your own logic. Sorry if it messes with your post and makes it seem less than stellar.

Yes. Mid-major fans are those who find satisfaction in "almost" beating UF... and who excuse or even praise their coaching staff when they lose.


I haven't seen that many disrespectful criticisms of players. Maybe I've just missed them. I haven't even seen a lot of disrespect for the coaches.

By and large, the criticism is objective, respectful, and fair. There is far more disrespect between posters than for anyone in the program... sort of like your post which contributes nothing but the start of an argument.

Mid Major fans wouldn't be so upset and outraged after what has transpired...they've never been there before and never will be there....they are NOBODYS....WE ARE TENNESSEE...A TOP 10 PROGRAM OF ALL TIME! Get over your self-righteous, soft self.

I have never posted on here, because I just felt better reading what others have written. But after reading that we are a Top 5 football program, I just had to say something. Folks, we haven't been in top 5 at anything football wise in many, many years. I honestly feel as if we are nothing but a middle of the pack SEC team right now, just barely better than Vandy and Kentucky. I thought the Jones hire was risky from the start, because this is the SEC, and if we are supposed to be an SEC elite team, then you don't hire a mid major coach. Unless, the program has slipped so far that he was all you could get. I don't feel much better than I did in the Dooley years.

The thing is, there is no shame in hiring a loser. Every program has hired a loser at some point.

The problem is, many UT fans seem to think that you can't replace a loser without an act of congress.

I think all fans have unreasonable expectations for their teams. Yankee fans think they should win the World Series every year, Alabama fans think they should be the BCS champion, Kentucky basketball fans think they should be NCAA champs, and so on and so on. I'd settle to see UT be tiddelywink champions, because at least we would be the best at that sport.
