Hope that is not in any particular order, otherwise you have lost it.

I can see your confusion, you wasn't even alive when some of these Vols played. Also did you notice there were no numbers in front of their names?

Golden Domers, need join a conference, the CFA and act like they are not better than everyone else. It's not coaching it talent. You telling me that the last six coaches have all been wrong?

To assume is to think you know it all, heard of everyone on that list, you should have emphasized that it wasn't in any order, otherwise folks will question it.

Someone asked about it in the recruiting forum, so i thought id throw one out there

1. Carl Pickens
2. Willie Gault
3. Peerless Price
4. Donte Stallworth
5. Stanley Morgan
6. Larry Sievers
7. Joey Kent
8. Tim MGgee
9. Robert Meachem
10. Marcus Nash

it may not be perfect... feel free to change it

Nobody has mentioned it, but I think you slighted Morgan. He's the only guy that rivals Pickens for best ever, IMO.

Harper has to be included.

Haha...joking.

Why is that funny? Washington was a game changer, more so than several mentioned ITT.

TN has to be one of the top WR Universities. Is there any place with more WR drafted than TN???

I'm trying to resist the urge to vomit at seeing stiffs like Kent and Nash ahead of Tim McGee and Alvin Harper on some lists. Also, I love how much better the legend of Willie Gault is than the player was.

His role as a return man certainly boosted his perception as a receiver.

Tim McGee and Alvin Harper were every bit as good as Morgan.

IMO Willie was good at being a distraction to the defenses with his world class speed.

5. kelley washington
6. jason witten (although not wr, but a receiver of sorts)
7. gerald jones (still one more year to awe us)
8. cedric wilson
9. nukeese richardson (prediction)
10. rod wilks (definitely growing on me)

I would disagree, based on highlights and conversations, as it was a bit before my time. The guy was outstanding at just about every skill position on some fairly weak UT teams.

I'd have all three on my list, though.

I agree about Stanley Morgan. When he was at Tennessee he was clocked at a 4.2 forty back in the days when that just didn't happen! He played in the days when the ball just didn't get the air time that it does today. He is in the New England Patriots Hall of Fame and was several times All-Pro.

1. Carl Pickens
2. Stanley Morgan
3. Tim McGee
4. Peerless Price
5. Anthony Miller
6. Willie Gault
7. Joey Kent
8. Robert Meachum
9. Larry Seivers
10. Donte Stallworth

As far as Marcus Nash being on this list, I would have to say that he just didn't have the hands! He was good for dropping about every fifth pass thrown in his direction.

Happy to see Willie Gault & Larry Seivers made many lists. Where's Richmond Flowers?

Seeing guys like Gault, Kent, Nash, and Stallworth rated ahead of Harper is making me physically ill.

I haven't forgotten. I'm aware what Peerless did. I'm also aware that he spent much of his career on a team that threw 40 times per night.

There isn't anyone in football who would take Price over Pickens.

Peerless won a national title, end of story. Pickens was good, but lets look at each QB. About the same. There's a reason why Peerless was open on the deep, speed. You old timers need to realize, athletes improve every five year period. Plus, Pickens is not on the stats. Get over 1990.

Would someone give an explanation why Pickens is number 1? He is/was a great athlete, but not number 1. There is something to be said for running perfect routes...Joey Kent.

Stiffs? Maybe you should have a "stiff" drink? What do you mean stiffs. Has anyone else even tried to look at the numbers these guys put up at TN. Gault, McGhee, and Harper can't hold their jocks when it comes to stats. Give me a break.

Stats aren't everything. Alvin Harper should be on any top 10.

With what backup? Uh.....I think James Banks. I mean Brett Smith. Not trying to make fun, but no one is backing up their assumptions with some facts.

"He looked fast and caught the ball, therefore he must be good."
