Wrong

NFLers - Price, Washington, Stallworth, Meachem, Moore (rising star). Thats 5. 2 more are still at UT so thats 5/8 AND the 2 here are NFL locks. Id say we're doing ok @WR

also Stallworth was a stud prior to the jail incident

Meachem is in an office that spreads it around a lot but I certainly wouldnt call him a bust at this point - he would be a fine #2 for a lot of teams in the NFL

I think we hold our own as an all time Wide Receiver U (although Ohio St, Michigan, Florida, and Miami gives us a run for our money), but right now it's pretty clear that the U of Miami is the current WR U......Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Devin Hester, Santana Moss, Roscoe Parrish, and Leonard Hankerson are in the league now.

Meachem had the tools to be a one

I consulted with my Ouija board and it says in 4 years Hunter, Da'Rick, CP, Croom, Bowles, Meachem, and Moore will be playing big-time football on Sundays.

I have seen Meachem make some amazing catches in the NFL.. I think the offense they run and the QB they have hold him back.

Meachem made one of tbe best plays in NFL HISTORY. Yes, NFL history. Go to youtube and search Meachem Interception Fumble and if you haven't seen it before, prepare to have your mind blown. If you have seen it, prepare to have your mind blown...... again....

This is mine^. When did Parker leave?

Eric Parker? EP was in my class, '01. I liked him, but despite have a decent NFL career, he didn't do as much at UT as other receivers there at the same time (Price, Copeland, Wilson, Stallworth, Washington). Man, we had some ball players back then.

I don't disagree with that and I think he still does have the tools to develop into a #1, but right now he can be a great #2 option on most teams in the NFL

He will get his shot as #1 in San Diego this year. I hope he shows out.

I just cant put kelley washington on this list. He could have been great after his freshman year and getting hurt his sophomore year.

1. Price
2. Meachem
3. Cedric Wilson(overshadowed by peerless in 1998 but was still great)
4. Stallworth
5. D. Moe

Ill wait a year or two before I put Hunter or Rogers up there. As of right now I dont see how you can put hunter on there. Just because he was on record pace thru 2 games last year? There is no denying that he is a freakish talent but he hasnt proved anything yet to be compared to the above guys. Dont get me wrong I believe when its all said and done I think he will be in that top 5 along with darick(and hopefully cordarelle haha). But not yet.

Don't leave out Jermaine Copeland.

No way Price doesn't make all time 80's, 90's, 00's and 10's. The Fiesta Bowl alone puts him on at least 10. Now, I love some TD Woods, Joey Clinkscales, McGee and Carl Pickens. Those guys were the best big play guys when i was a kid. Also, there was a 5'6" wide receiver/defensive back wearing #6. I thought he played for the Cardinals for awhile. Anyone remember his name?

Check out the all time Tennessee receiver stats

UT University of Tennessee Football Stats Receiving
This list is not updated.G.jones is 5th in career catches. Followed by Swain and Meachum at 5 and 6

Also D Moore is 7th in career yards and 5th in career tds

It's hard for me to think back and compare the '98-'01 guys against each other because I was in middle school at the time and just remember vague "that dude was good." With that caveat:

1. Peerless
2. Meachem
3. Washington
4. Stallworth
5. Wilson
6. Hunter
7. Moore
8. Rogers
9. Jones
10. Hell, I dunno. Who did I forget? Swain?

Just based on the two games we saw from him last year, I think Hunter is better than Da'Rick and DMo. If he doesn't get it back, he can drop as low as #9. If he does, he has the potential to get all the way to #1.

The reason we're not WRU anymore is because the receivers mid 90s till now aren't in the same league with those from the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

Not a single receiver from the OP's list would be in UT's all time top ten

I just giggled

Hold up... Did you just say the saints offense and drew brees, single season passing yard record holder, are limiting meachem?

Where's Stanley Morgan? he was better than everyone on your list save Pickens, Seivers and Harper

What Wilson? Cedrick? TD Woods? Neither are top 10

Here's my top ten:

Larry Seivers
Carl Pickens
Stanley Morgan
Tim McGee
Alvin Harper
Donte Stallworth
Robert Meachem
Anthony Miller
Lester McClain
Willie Gault
Peerless Price

HM
Anthony Hancock
Clyde Duncan
Anthony Morgan
Thomas Woods
Richmond Flowers

Price is the only receiver that played with Manning that garners being placed on an alltime list
