Casey Dick was 8-10 last week. He is "coming into his own"! :eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

8. Darren McFadden is coming off a Herculean effort. He made it seem as simple as 3-2-1

Good Lord . . . I know everybody makes mistakes when using cliches, but is it really that difficult to count in the right direction?

We interviewed the editor of the Arkansas student paper last night on the radio. I laughed him off of the air when he said Dick completed 80% of passes last week, we're expecting big things from him.

I think it was in reference to his yardage against the game chickens.

80 % is good.. but when you only throw 10 passes thats not that great. I looked at his stats and his highest number of completions for the year is 13.. I think that was against chattanoga as well.

Jones seems to be at full speed by his second step and that makes it hard to get an angle on him. NFL scouts have been extremely impressed with him this season. His ®. 7 all-purpose yards per game is 14 th-best in the country, and opponents are kicking it away from him.

How many yards is that exactly?

Did they finally settle on 321 yards for McFadden? I think the official total changed at one point . . . which I guess is prone to happen when a RB approaches rushing for 2/10 of a mile in one game.

321 was the last number I saw, but that was a few days ago.

I just checked and 321 is correct. Originally they had him at 323, but ended up docking him 2 yards for a 2 yard loss that wasn't originally included.

guys, pay absolutely no attention to the sports editor of the arkansas democrat-gazette. 90% of the literate sports fans in this state consider him an embarrassment. the quality of his writing would get him sacked from any serious high school newspaper. that aside, he is incredibly lazy. he offers nothing in his columns except recycled gossip mixed with his opinions. about a third of his work consists of 'feel good' stories about jocks who have found jesus. better information about local sports is available at any local pool hall or gas station. one of the mysteries about this state is why he hasn't been canned and one of the staffers (anyone is better qualified) promoted. say what you will about guys like finebaum, but they can write and they're not afraid to work.

Uh, no. It wasn't a 2 yard loss. It was a 2 yard run by Jones that was credited to McFadden. :neener2:

I defy anyone to consistently read any newspaper in Arkansas and not lose IQ points.

Being from Arkansas that paper is a joke and so are the writers. The only thing the hogs might topple in Rocky Top is our coach hounding after some co-ed after the game filling her phone with hundreds of text messages just like he did last season.

10 reasons why TN is better than Arkansas:
10. Smokey MOuntains > Ozark Mountains
9. our border states are destinations: Bristol (nascar, granted....), Chattanooga, Memphis. You have Texarkana.
8. I40 immediately upgrades upong crossing the TN state line heading East.
7. Memphis > West Memphis
6. Your State Motto, "the Natural State" is just fancy talk for "there ain't crap out here but rice fields and Little Rock". The "Volunteer state" regularly accepts "thank yous" from the residents of Texas, otherwise they'd need a passport to get in to your state.
5. Our capital city is the home of country music and the Grand Ole Opry. Yours is Little Rock.
4. Go Vols, Rocky Topy and Go Big Orange > Woooooo Pig
3. you have Bill Clinton, we have Elvis Presley, advantage, us.
2. we don't wear those stupid pig hats.
1. Arkansas is the only state that people from West Virginia and Mississippi can make fun of.

The only good thing about Arkansas is the duck hunting. Remove the mallards and nobody would go to the state

"The Volunteers have outscored their past three opponents 73-0 in the first half, but the Razorbacks should win."

This would be incorrect. I believe Alabama falls into this category and while I've tried my best to delete that one from the hard drive but I know they at least had 10 in the first half. Looks like this Hawg writer should get his facts straight before he writes the story.
