I honestly hate the dotting of the I. I remember watching that and thinking how anti-climatic the whole thing ended up being when UF and LSU played OSU.

Same here. I'd always heard people go on and on and on about the dotting of the I, and when I finally saw it, I thought, "Wow. That's it?"

I mean, I guess they could say the same thing about our Running Through the T. But at least we have actual football players storming onto the field. I'll take that over some pencil-necked tuba player strutting out by himself to finger his horn.

I really don't know how long they've done it or if it's even considered a tradition but.....when Florida does that slow "Jaws" sounding theme and works up to...

DUHHHH..DUH-DUH-DUH-DUH...GO GATORS!!!

I hate that. I really do.

Come Gators! Get up and go!

Get up and go? Really?

If everyone loved Rocky Top, it wouldn't really serve its purpose, would it?

That said, I never found the gator chomp or rammer jammer or even the USC rooster screech to be the least bit intimidating.

I thought that was Bubba and the chicken plucker in the booth.

I think that is unbelievably overrated. It is a band formation, and nothing more.

I love Rocky Top, but if I was a visitor, that could be annoying. The Gator chomp has to be the most insulting though. I like the running down the hill.

I actually think that rocky top does piss people off to no end. I remeber hearing Tebow saying in an interview that when he visited UT (he was already a UF fan) he cringed every time he heard rocky top. :)

True, but honestly it's no more than 99% of other schools playing their songs. LSU, Bama, Florida, Georgia, USCal, Michigan, FSU, Ohio State, Texas, A&M, and so on all have a couple songs they play over and over and over.

There's not as much of a gap as you'd like to think.

Sacreligious? Maybe, but I can't hate Alabama's fight song, "Yea Alabama" it was my High School's fight song.

So, I guess I hate it only when Alabama's band is playing it. There that works.

i didn't read the list but it was erroneous if it looked over MSU's cowbell and UF's urine throwing students section.

I love football traditions, some are just dumb, such as the dotting of the "i". However, being in the Swamp and seeing/hearing 80,000 fans do the Gator Chomp, it is pretty cool. Just like some of LSU's cheers, such as the stop on a 3rd down thing they do. The USC rooster crowing is annoying as hell though....and loud.

Also, when the PA guy says "First Down!!" and the crowd says, "Ole Miss"/"Arkansas"/"South Carolina".....that is just dumb and unoriginal, there might be more schools that do it but those are the ones I have seen in person.

I also feel like Alabama is stuck in the 70's/80's with some of their music.

As for the list and Standford.....those are some weird folks. The band, the tree, the band leader, cheerleaders (more like ballet, not cheering), all of them. I saw them in Houston at the Sweet Sixteen game when they played Texas and just watching them......just weird.
