I agree that the term "stalking" is being misused here. By definition, "stalking" involves non-consensual contact. When you post something to Twitter, it is for public display. You are basically, giving everyone who reads it, the consent to share it. It is not stalking to share a player's tweet with a message board such as VolNation. However, it is a waste of time to make insinuations about and draw serious conclusions from a player's "likes" and retweets. That just leads to unfounded rumors being spread, which led to one of our coaches having to address yesterday.I do love how every other post in here is about "stalking HS kids".
The reality is that most stuff like this blows up because the VQ guys report on it, which is their job.
It's not the fan base stalking them when Price finds a kid in the handicap stall at the airport and records an interview, for example.

That is an incomplete definition. E-stalking (or cyber-stalking) may include the gathering of information used to threaten, embarrass or harass... but the mere collection of and dissemination of publicly displayed statements, does not meet the definition of stalking, whether that be cyber-stalking or otherwise.
Regardless, a ton of people on here do need to chill! In fact, if we as fans wanted to improve it would help make the team better! TEAM! Something I’m sure some people on here know nothing about.I'm not on twitter, and this appears to be nothing. BUT on a side note, I just love when coaches or staff say things like "just chill." UH, the fanatic base you've got here is why you still make a fortune despite not accomplishing anything. Start winning, and they'll start chilling.
LMAO... You think our fanbase will "chill" even when we start winning? LMAOI'm not on twitter, and this appears to be nothing. Andy Kaufman is still alive.Panic People, this one is for you:
You ain't nothing but a hound dog
Crying all the time
You ain't nothing but a hound dog
Crying all the time
Well, you ain't never caught a rabbit
And you ain't no friend of mine
When they said you was high classed
Well, that was just a lie

Well, that was just a lie
You ain't never caught a rabbit
And you ain't no friend of mine

...by definition, either one involves conduct considered harassment by the affected person. If the person in question doesn't care? Then there is no reason for us to either.
What the hell are you talking about? Stalking, as a legal definition, does involve harassment. No, it does not. It's not harassment to "Google" someone, find their social media posts that are public, and read them. It's just creepy, especially when it's a teenager; stop being creepy.
Cyberstalking, is the act of using the internet or electronic means, to stalk or harass someone; stalking and harassment have legal definitions. "E-stalking" for all practical purposes is slang for trolling someone's social media presence for information, and not cyberstalking.
