Too much ice

Why are people there to protest ICE? Nobody said they broke the law in this case. I am saying my viewpoint in this thread is informed by my concerns about runaway government. You guys are here to defend it.

People are protesting ICE because they consistently break the law all the time. 4,000 arrests in the Trump admin deemed illegal by the courts, as of January. They had memos literally encouraging agents to skirt judicial warrants.
OK, so your post is whataboutism. I'm not a fan of playing such games as it means nothing to this incident with the 80 yr old. As for the problems that arose in Minnesota, I support the rule of law. If ICE broke the law I support those laws being enforced and the officers being prosecuted in a fair trial where they receive due process. Do you disagree with me anywhere here?

Not speaking for the libs in here, but the difference between you and me isn't that I don't put any blame on the old man for agitating.

The difference between us is that you are more concerned by civilians who think the laws and common sense do not apply to them. I am more concerned with a government agency that thinks the laws and common sense do not apply to them.

You're a Tory
I wasn’t aware we knew the person being detained is just an innocent citizen unlawfully arrested. If that’s the case, ice was out of line but I’d need proof. If it was a rapist, you evidently would rather leave them alone to go rape another kid, so I don’t what label to throw on you for that line of thinking.
If you don’t like ICE, fine. go agitate some agents and find out for yourself since you evidently are part of the group that thinks it’s ok and cries about repercussions. Talking a big game means nothing. Go walk it.
And I would not have supported Britain during the Revolutionary war. I don’t hate this country as many on the left would become traitors for a Starbucks gift card.

I watched you crash and burn the last couple days arguing with conservatives on this board. It was entertaining. But now you are making up wild positions for me, and I don't have time for your worthless chime ins. Go outside, nerd.

Bye.

Again, you came at me like a couple others. Unprovoked, call me a traitor then cry about a response..
So very typical.

I read you fine. It was not the least bit excessive. You labeling it so reflects poorly on you and your case that ICE is using excessive force
If you think it was necessary to throw that guy to the ground headfirst rather than just pulling him away, then say that. It doesn't reflect poorly on me at all to say otherwise.

You gotta be pretty damn dumb to interfere with govt agents or police during arrests and had no parental guidance to teach you any different.
Blaming the agents, while putting no blame on the agitators interfering, no matter what age or race, is another reason why the majority of people, dems and reps, find libs exhausting and deem them mentally ill.
Not being stupid can save a lot of lives.
Sometimes interjecting yourself into an arrest is warranted. Cops are not always right. Not knowing the circumstances of the arrest in the video, we don't know if the old guy was right or wrong.

This is about the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If you do that in East Tennessee, there will be one less EasternVol fan. But go ahead, you be you. I will be watching and eating popcorn.

When I mention people having no common sense, this is what I’m talking about. The result of interjecting yourself into an arrest will not change the outcome of the person getting arrested and will end up with you knocked on your ass, arrested or worse, but by all means keep being shocked when people do interject and something bad happens.

What was unnecessary was pappy Jack inserting himself into a situation he had no business inserting himself into. Actions have consequences
For every action there is a reaction. There cannot be a reaction without an action.
We have an epidemic going on with a select small group of people who’s brains cannot decipher this simple fact that most people learn as children.
The overreaction of shooting the protestor in the car never happens if she and her angry wife don’t decide to take the action of chasing ice agents that day. A deliberate, stupid decision.
The reaction of the protestor getting shot never happens if he’s not down there strapped and blocking traffic while harassing agents, again, after being seen spitting at them and kicking there trucks prior.
Preventable if people weren’t being idiots and opening the door for other idiots to make a bad decision when reacting.

You might want to back up your chain of actions and reactions. and there will always be more responsibility on the government side than any individual civilian. they represent us, not the other way around.

illegals are here because Biden let them in. Bad action.

This lead, at least partially to Trump winning and closing the border. indifferent reaction.

as part of that Trump unleashed ICE in an unheard of manner that has had an impact on more than just the illegal community. Bad action.

this lead to protests. some were bad, some were indifferent reaction.

this lead to ICE/the government not changing a thing and getting more reactionary. bad action.

this lead to the chain of events during which the government hasn't strayed from the path that set this course in action, even after the death of Americans. heck they aren't even ensuring that the ICE agents are really trained before arming them and unleashing them into the public realm. thats a full stop issue all on its own, regardless of what actions/reactions lead to it.

You post some things that make sense but I can’t back up from my action/reaction statement because it’s a fact reaction doesn’t exist without action.
Now, overreaction to an action is a different discussion, but again overreaction doesn’t exist without the initial action. Why open that door.

Maybe you should look up the meanings of sometimes and interject.

Neither shooting was justified but go ahead and put all the blame on the deceased.

I didnt say anything about justified. Fact won’t change that if they stay home and didn’t have the goal to harass agents they would both be here.
It’s exhausting trying to explain basic common sense to fools who don’t have the ability and make up arguments not being made.

Sure seems like you are putting all of the blame on the people who got shot

Like I said, discussing common sense to people incapable of it is exhausting.
Keep being amazed people looking for trouble find it. 5 yr olds know better but a small percent of mentally ill adults can’t process…should I stay home or grab my gun and go harass govt agents…
Incredible tbh.

Word salad. So who is primarily to blame? The ones doing the shooting or the ones who got shot?

Why is there always finger pointing trying to blame one person and no accountability? Blame can be spread around. I believe the ice officer panicked and overreacted when he shot her, but again for like the 4th time you and Eastern fail to acknowledge, if she stays home with her kid instead of getting in the car with her wife looking for trouble with the intent to block and harass govt agents, the overreaction never has a chance to happen and she’s around for her kids next birthday.
wtf is so hard about that to understand, I will never know.
