Her family said she is a lawful permanent resident whose daughter is an American citizen. But ICE told the Daily Mail Morris is an 'illegal alien from the United Kingdom who has five assault convictions,' including one as recently as August 2024.

her husband had previously overstayed his green card while working here. He was wanted for a felony charge and she was charged with aiding and abetting a criminal act. Notice none of the reports are about her husband.

How does who he worked for make his arrest valid?

Probably a number of reasons, but just spit balling one, cannabis is still illegal federally, so if his job is guarding a grow, federal agents can probably arrest him/detain him. Also, if he actively blocked federal agents, he's probably hindering an investigation. Again, I'm no legal expert, but there seems to be at least a couple of plausible explanations.
